Sniper’s Hide Online Training Videos

The purpose of the Online Training is to provide the subscriber with the tools necessary to practice the Fundamentals of Marksmanship on their own through the provided drills and instruction. As well we will cover other topics of interest in the use of the precision rifle system, following a logical progression of training to start the shooter off from the ground floor moving towards more advanced drills and concepts.

We recognize that not everyone can make it to one of the many training facilities across the country, so we are bringing the schooling to the shooter with this forum. Each month we will offer up two lessons along with discussion and drills the reader can take home and practice in order to increase their shooting proficiency. We will also feature other “guest” instructors chosen specifically for the talent they bring to firearms instruction to help answer question as well as provide tips and tricks to increase your shooting skills.

Two ways to purchase and view the videos:

In the Forum

Using the Forum is the preferred method to view the online lessons. You have an account in the forum to gain access.

The subscription for the Online Training will be a recurring fee of $10 per month which can be paid via Pay Pal. (Initial “Trial” payment for past lessons*** The cost for old lessons will change every single month, beware, that amount is variable.) The fee aside from going to support Sniper’s Hide can use used as a credit for any class at Rifles Only. You’ll be able to deduct $120 from any class hosted by Rifles Only with a paid subscription. This is less than 1 days formal training at any facility, given to you in the convenience of your own home. Consider the cost of airfare, rental car, food and lodging, this cannot be matched.

To Sign up for the Online Training go to My Stuff > Subscription > Online Training and use the Pay Pal account listed. A paid subscription will automatically grant the user access to the Online Training Forum.  Once you have signed up, please log off and log back on to set the permissions to access the forum section.  Once you are signed up, please keep your Pay Pal account updated as it controls the access from this point forward. Any changes will go through Pay Pal.

The forum software is not very robust, so we use the “trial” options to cover the cost of the past lessons.  Then moving forward you will be billed $10 a month for each month your account is active.  Just because we are using the Trial Payment method does not mean you loose access to the lessons when the trial period is over.  As long as your account is billed the $10 you will have access to all the lessons located in the Online Training section of the forum.  Access in the forum does not give you access to the lessons on the home page.

We welcome direct interaction from everyone who attends the online training. We feel instruction is a two way street best accomplished by intelligent discourse. If you have questions, need clarification, or have a comment, please post it. Because this is a paid service the interjection from those less desirable elements found on the internet should be cut to an absolute minimum, improving the nature of the conversation over an open forum.

On the Home page:

The Sniper’s Hide Home Page also contains many of the lessons as found in the forum.  These lessons are available for purchase on a 3 day pass basis.  There are two levels to choose from, Basic Lessons for $24.95 and Advanced Lessons for $49.95.  Purchase gives the user access to the lessons within that level for 3 days from purchase.  If clicking on a lesson takes you back to the membership page, that lesson is not within that purchased level.

The home page requires a separate account to sign up with.  First sign up using the “Free” account and then if you are interested in viewing any of the lessons you can purchase that level for 3 days.   You have two payment options available, one using Pay Pal, the other using your Credit Card with NetBilling.  These are secure payments.  The 3 day pass is open to all users and can be a nice way to decide if you want to commit to the full spectrum of the Online Training that is found in the forum. Not all lessons found in the forum are available at this time on the Home Page.

Refunds / Canceling / Payment Issues

All payments are non-refundable.

You may cancel at any time.  Canceling the recurring subscription is done through Pay Pal.  To cancel go to your Pay Pal account and simply cancel your subscription, access will be automatically removed by the system.

If you lose access due to an issue with Pay Pal, simply go to your Pay Pal account and update the information Pay Pal requires.  The system will automatically notify you as well it will retry the payment in 3 days and then again in 5 days.  As long as you have fixed the issue with Pay Pal within those windows the system will automatically reinstate your account access.  if you miss this window we can manually activate your account which will immediately seek the first $10 payment from Pay Pal. Once this is done, you subscription will continue as usual. It is important that the member contacts us as soon as possible after the 5 days if their account has not be corrected.

If you are banned from SH, and want to cancel the subscription go to Pay Pal and cancel it. Neither the moderators or the admin will do so, so it is up to the member to manage his or her account from Pay Pal.  We do not have access to this.
Here is the introduction to Lesson One found on the Online Training Section:

The basic fundamentals of marksmanship are often overlooked in the interest of completing a drill or getting out of some type of tight spot. What that tight spot is may not be of your making, but that is really not the point. The point is to get out of the mess with no damage to you or at the very least a positive result.

If you have to fire your weapon for defensive or offensive reasons, the task remains the same. Drive your weapon as good as it can be driven under the circumstances. It really makes no difference if it is a handgun, carbine, or long gun. Driving the weapon correctly will give you the best result.

If you are fighting with a handgun, obviously a defensive weapon, things have gone terribly wrong and you need to do the best job possible to get yourself a positive result. I only say that because you should never start a fight with a handgun, it is simply too small. (Use a cannon if you have one, the projectile is bigger)

If you are being shot at, the game is the same. It is not the time to let the fundamentals fall by the wayside; it is time to execute them as flawlessly as you can to facilitate the positive result.

Probably the last thing on your mind is the fundamentals at a time of great stress. You are human and that is of no fault. However, if you have not trained correctly, the subconscious will have no tools to work with. Repetition is key,… no, proper repetition is key. You must practice the fundamentals to a degree that it is not possible for you to execute them poorly. Sounds tough, and it is, but it must be done. The weapon system does not matter; you must train with it until driving it correctly is just a matter of putting it in your hands. To not do so is to not care about the outcome.
