Spuhr Sniper / Marksman Sight Mount

Sniper’s Hide was excited to get a first look at the new sniper sight mount from Håkan Spuhr. His 0ne piece mounts are probably the most well thought out of its kind. Sturdy, this extremely durable mount is made of 7075 Aluminum, yet weighs only 250 grams. The mounts are available with several different built in cants to extend the range of your scope, 20MOA, 30MOA or a user specified tilt can be requested. As well they come in a variety of ring heights to account for pairing with different types of accessory optics like NV or Thermal sights.

Thunder Beast Arms, Shark Suppressor & Gemtech Sandstorm

Today I went to meet with AJ Goddard of Bighorn Arms out here in Brighton, CO. Meeting me there were Shane and Ray Dog of Thunder Beast Arms and they brought one of their 30P suppressors to go against the Shark and the Gemtech Sandstorm, they also brought there sound meter.

Manners T-5 Mini Chassis DBM

Last week Sniper’s Hide received two Manners’ T-5 stocks, both with their new Mini Chassis that includes bottom metal for AICS magazines. The new stocks from Manners allows the shooter to simply drop in the barreled action and torque it too the mini chassis. It can be bedded but doesn’t require it and we tested this stock this week for the site.

Long Range Hunting Rifles. Taught on McMillan rifle ranges in Arizona, the
course covers the fundamentals of marksmanship, the mil-dot system, doping
the wind, firearms maintenance and range safety.

Borka Tools 12 Torque Setting Driver

Sniper’s Hide was fortunate enough to get a hold of the new Borka Enterprises Multi Setting Torque Driver for review. We have been using this tools for approximately 2 months now and we find it an excellent tool for the precision rifle shooter. Inexpensive, lightweight (less than 6 ounces), rugged, highly consistent and accurate torque driver is made from stainless steel and structural polymer, and differs from traditional “slip clutch” and “cam-over” type torque drivers by its simple and reliable design and compactness.

Accuracy International Armorers Course

Day 1.

The first day was dedicated to the Accuracy International AE series rifles. This is the Accuracy Enforcement model, which was designed for Law Enforcement. This rifle was my first Accuracy International many years ago. I believe I had the oldest rifle in the class with the original version purchased around 2002. Since that time they had moved forward with the Mark II model.

This is my official thank you to everyone involved in the 2010 Sniper’s Hide Cup held at Rifles Only.

This had to be one of our most ambitious matches to date. Not only did we open the competitor list up to more shooters than normal, we included two helicopter stages, which in itself is a bit crazy.
