Does anybody have any experience with this scope? it seems like a good one to me on paper. moa/moa reticle and knobs, first focal plane. other than it only has 56moa of elev./wind. adjustment I don't see any pitfalls.

Link to the scope in question http://www.horusvision.com/predator.php#reticleSpecs

Is the glass good? are the dials repeatable? any info would be nice.

thanks scott

i have two of them. I like them. The glass is very clear, and the reticle is thin enough for long range shooting at high magnification on small targets.

The only draw back to the Horus is that they do not have much of a warranty. Only one year.

But for the money, its about the best ffp scope I've seen. Now I also have two of the Falcon scopes in the newer high magnification. To me they are the best value in a ffp scope. Not quite the optics of the Horus but almost half the price and very serviceable. They don't of course have the grid that Horus does, but do have multiple hold points.

Good luck on your decision.

thanks for the info, does anybody have one to compare glass quality with a nxs I have 2 of those and am quite used to them. I know they aren't the best but they are tough and reliable with reasonably good glass.

diggler44,

I have two Horus 8-26 P's.

Yes they do have good... glass. No not the quality as NF.But they are as clear as the Leupys.

I like their FFP reticle design and SMOA turrets.Although to be honest they don't track perfectly.I only use holdovers so I can live with that fault for the $750 I paid for each.

Tell ya what...they make for a fantastic .22 scope too.I set some little steels out a various distances "50Y to 250Y" and walk away to range them with the RF.Then I plug the actual range, down to the yard, into the ballistic program and use holdovers for some surprisingly fun shooting.5 yards makes the difference between a hit and a miss when you are shooting a couple hundred yards with a 22.

It does piss me off that they don't have a decent warranty.

Steve
