AXEMAN Chief Warrant Officer Registered: 09/17/09 Posts: 2682 Loc: kansas, topeka	brand new. never fired by me, possibly by factory. i got a deal on a shillen select match so i am going to take my barrel of the 10fcp and sell it while its new and unfired with hopes of getting a better than used price out of it. fatten up your sporter boys this is a small shank varmint/tactical contour savage take off. northland sells these new for $205. ill start at $175 tyd and take offers. dont be shy, make an offer. its not off the rifle yet and i still have to buy a wrench to get it off. Seriously tho, are you going to work action over before installing new barrel? I think members here would like range report with pics when you complete your project. I have been wanting to do a gun project like what you are doing, but saving all my nickels for month long overseas trip to see my son graduate in Finland. Good luck on your sale and your project.

AXEMAN Chief Warrant Officer Registered: 09/17/09 Posts: 2682 Loc: kansas, topeka	i hadnt gotten that far. i really have no issues with the action right now. i had thought about it, but after talking to Jim at northland im not sure i need the action worked on. he said just get a go gauge and slap on the barrel and thats it. he didnt seem to think timing and truing was needed. i havent even looked into that part of it yet. the barrel is on the way, i have the CNC recoil lug from SS. that was as far as i was gonna go, except taking a shot at bedding the action. _________________________ savage 10FCP-HS, millett 4-16x50, shillen select match. popped her cherry 5/16 Tone the signature down
