So, who has got to play with these? Will we see them this SHOT...assuming Sig issues are over?

I believe the contract they were going after stated a minimum of 6x but I'm not positive...

I remember a thread on here a month or so ago about it.. cant remember what came out of it thoe lol
There was, it died off around the time Sig was awarded the contract. Been some hinting of it coming soon on Instagram.

Any update here? Would love a good lightweight LPVO that is quality. Their Mk6 is great but 1-6 is so boring these days, I want more!!

Too bad you can’t see the Badger part number on the mount. These look an awful lot like souped up Mk6s from the erector housing style and ocular end.

I mean the Mk6 is almost a 10 year old design at this point. Surely they will release something soon?

It’s really surprising to me given the demand for LPVOs that they have no current and competitive offering yet. Neither the Mk6 or Mk8 are available commercially from Leupold. New old stock from vendors is probably close to if not completely dried out.

My mk6 is great. But if they dont make it a 1-10, it will get lost in the fray.

I dunno about that. Plenty of users are married to brand and or magnification ranges. Any solid 1-6 or 1-8 would find itself on many rifles I’m sure.

A 1-10 would be great as long as it doesn't compromise (I haven't looked through a Razor III to know if there's anything to avoid there). I'd personally prefer a 1-8 executed just like the 1-6 but with better illumination. Keep the weight down and illumination strong with great optics. Settle for a 1-8 vs 1-10 if that's what's needed

Find its way on rifles, definitely. Be a top contender around the vortex and the nf options, and similar pricing? Not likely. The mk6 is already an excellent scope, that fits your description. Why make 2?

And the only complaint I hear from people about the Mk6 is illumination when your eye isn't in the center of the eyebox. Other than that some wish for 8x but it seems solid otherwise. I absolutely love the CMR W 556 reticle

Even the Atacr does that 😶

I haven't heard that on the ATACR but maybe it just isn't quite so bad? Either way, I'm not super up tight about that but I'd rather not drop $ right now if a next gen will be out within a year.

Maybe @koshkin can give us a hint?

All scopes with diffractive reticles do that to some degree.

I do not have any insight into Leupold's design timeline and if I did I would not divulge anything prematurely.

That having been said, I would not be surprised to see a splash of interesting introductions around SHOT show. Leupold of last few years has been sorts thinking outside the box, which I really like.

Makes sense on illumination. I don't understand how illumination works or the different reticle types but I like the ones that work!

Thanks for the comments on Leupold, wouldn't want you in that position for sure. Glad you think they are due for something else this year too.
