I'm just here with popcorn waiting on all the hate!!!!

I think this has been in the works for awhile. I saw it awhile back. Doubt it will ever come to mainstream market. At least not in mass.

I personally don’t like paying for something and having to wait a year to get it. I’m sure he will do the same business model as he did for the rifles. Pay in full and wait your turn. Blah. Blah. Blah.

It's almost like companies are playing a game or competing to see who can wait the longest before giving their customers what they paid for already.

That’s pretty nice regarding weight, folder, and adjustability. Definitely something I’m looking for in a hunting chassis, but I doubt they wil ever do lefty....

Is KB a tool? Yes

Is KB the only tool in the industry? LOL
Right? Plus it's not he's the engineering genious behind all these products lol, yeah he has his input and know quite a bit about manufacturing cans, but I'll happily support those guys for their excellent and dare I say it innovative work. As for the wait times, small company problems...they wanna keep the QC as tight as they can and KB has said he's not out to be the biggest in the industry. Just focusing on quality products that he thinks are cool and needed. All that said I agree that he comes off as an ass but there is context to everything he says and puts out on social media and it's hard to decifer unless you are in the same room to understand the intent of things said.

I'm sure not and there are other companies I refuse to support 100% on principal besides Q based on how they choose to conduct themselves ( Benchmade made the list yesterday).

I believe one of our biggest contributions to society is how we treat others. You reap what you sow and I refuse to support disgusting people like KB that are dishonest and level 10 duchebags to others in life that try to get ahead by tearing others down, lying and cheating.

I don't expect everyone to feel that way but I do.

Not the biggest fan of KB but Q does some interesting things. I always thought The fix was a good looking rifle. I’m surprised it’s that light of weight for as large as it is.

Hard pass for me. Not sure he wants any of us "fags" over here on SH to buy them anyway. After the Bartlein / DT thing and his other comments I'll never buy a Q product again. Plenty of other good companies out there.

He said he was talking about the trolls not the constructive people in the threads, but whatever....context is everything.

Fair enough. But dragging DT and Bartlein through the mud... Not my thing either. Don't address one without the other.

I'm mean there are three sides to every story, what KB says, what D/T says and the truth. Please believe me that i'm in no way 100% defending KB or the way he conducts business, I'm just trying to look at all sides objectively. KB's side is D/T was farming out barrels to other people to keep up with demand and was still putting his name on it and they weren't up to specs. That's a breach of contract and you can't run a business like that...
edit: I'm just tired of a the mindless circle jerk without looking at all sides of the issues.

They make some innovative products there's no doubt about that. Lightweight and very tight tolerances from what I saw on the rifle I owned. I didn't have any problem with accuracy out of my Bartlein DT barrel and overall a we'll put together rifle. I chose to sell it not based on the product itself but the company behind it.

It'll be interesting to see the price point on this. Their Fix rifle is right around $3k.

Looks like the rail is removable? Any Idea of the weight without the rail?
My 8" rail weighs slightly over 2oz , I imagine this will be close to 3 or 4.

Finally some one has built a light weight folding chassis for the rem700, people have been asking for something like this for a long time

Yes and with adjustable comb so we can hunt with our better scopes :)

I think for folks using this they will need to have a really light weight barrel like the proof CF LW Sendero. Throwing in a SPS tac barreled action or something is going to make that thing so unbalanced. Kinda the way the Fix feels front heavy with the 22 inch steel barrels. Those guns shine with the 16inch LW barrel profile setup. This chassis will be fine if the rest of the rifle matches it.

Yeah. An ideal build would have a titanium action and a shorter proof carbon fiber barrel.

I agree, but I don't think the target market for this chassis is for the long heavy barrel crowd. I bought my Fix because there wasn't really a light weight folding chassis that I liked. I bought it for hunting, I don't ever see my self competing, that's not the intended market for the Fix or this chassis. This thing checks a lot of boxes for people, especially if you already have the barreled action.

This thing will be right at home on a Proof Carbon barrel rifle, and if he sticks with his price point of around $1000, he'll sell a boatload of them.

^^This^^

I certainly have my share of heavy rifles that sit well in bags, bipods, monopods, etc..., and help absorb recoil through their weight. They're awesome, and I love them. However, I do also have use cases where the lighter the rifle is, the more useful it is to me. Further, the more compact the rifle can become, again, the more useful it is... whether it's slung on my back, next to me in a vehicle, or strapped to the front/rear rack of an ATV. Climbing ladders into tree stands/box blinds, etc..., it's just a different use case than sitting at a bench or rolling out a shooting mat to shoot paper or bang steel.

Yeah I love my Fix, it's my go to hunting rifle. Was chasing a black buck around my lease for like 16 miles one day this year with it. zero complaints about the weight/utility of this chassis/rifle.

That is true of any rifle/chassis/stock, a well balanced rifle has to be...balanced.

Makes a lot more sense than the Fix to me.

Modularity of the 700 with AICS mags and fairly light weight to boot.

For those complaining that the weight of the chassis (mostly the light rear) wouldn’t make it a good choice for comps, the chassis is only a steel clamp on bag rider away from being a well balanced rifle with a heavy barrel. This could easily be done in a part that’s removable so you can spin on a Proof barrel and have a switch barrel do it all rifle. Just something to ponder if you’re actually interested... If you’re just looking for a reason to write it off then it’s probably no help but Q shit is awesome and it’s you who’s missing out.

their minifix was meant to be end 2018, now is sometime 2019. But the chassis was disclosed quite some time ago.

chassis needs an AICS magewell not a SR25 mag .... i get the Sr25 on the fix, but not with a rem action

I got word that the first batch of Mini’s just shipped.

It uses AICS pattern mags. R700 pattern actions couldn’t use SR25 pattern without modification so no company in their right mind would do that.
