Here is what I can tell you based on my 20- round 300WM case. The largest I could fit without dinging the tips is COAL 3.880" So a standard round will probably fit but if your COAL is larger than that-not sure. The photo shows a case at COAL 3.56"
I am looking at purchasing some Peterson Brass in .270. But it's only available in a lot of 500. Wondering if there is anybody out there looking at pieces of 50 or 100. I can buy it and then ship it to you. I am looking for 100-200 pieces out of it. So I would have at least 300 pcs to sell off...
So, not sure if you loctite your bases down. Looking at your glass the front ring looks a little close to the bell of your optic. Not sure if it is pinching in the web of the bell. That may be another reason the rings aren't tightening down. In adding to lowlight's comments you may want to lift...
OneBreath808 So, have been working on a load for Berger 210's w/H1000 and CCI primers, ADG Brass for a 24" barrel. Just so happens my accuracy node is around 2860-2880. If you have a chrono. I would be mindful of that 2860 velocity number. It seems pretty consistent for that Berger bullet combo...
Ah TSA security. I figured their was an underlying problem I wasn't seeing. It absolutely amazes me what TSA restricts. Especially when it comes to crew and people on board. Captain..I am sorry you can't take that DE razor on board. You might cut yourself on-board the aircraft or that hijacker...
I am at 2870 with Berger 210 VLD's out of 24" barrel. I believe this is a common node before you start seeing pressure signs. 76.8 grns H1000. My groups start opening up at 77 grains which is pushing 2890.
The only thing I can think of is you have nodes at 61 grains and 65 grains. When I have been testing. I have seen at least two nodes in my workup. Any idea on the speeds from a chrono?
When you look at the aerodynamics viewpoint of of bullet flight. David Tubb is a genius with the annular nose ring and rebated boattail. Both in theory should have a significant difference which he is proving. Both create reduced drag by speeding up the laminar to turbulent airflow. I am curious...
Foul Mike. You are talking about gooey Loctite 518. If it was more liquid it was 545. The purple 222 is very close to this formula. 545/518 is a thicker sealant than Purple 222, so it fills the gaps in the hydraulic lines and cures anaerobicly. I don't think Loctite gives the same values...
The stuff works great. It breaks easier when you disassemble. And with the low torque values of ring screws, it's probably better. Less chance of cross thread and you can clean it up easier. The key thing is it should keep the set torque value and not let the screw back out. I've used it in many...
Redneckbmxer-I realize my rounds are slower in velocity, because I have essentially created a larger case space for the powder to expand in. I was wondering since I am so far off the lands right now, should I compress the bullet in the case and if there is a formula that expresses- Case volume...
