Yep, I'm guessing this was used by the armorers to sight in the rifles.

I recently glommed some Swiss rifle parts at an online auction. One lot consisted of a K31 bolt and a front sight pusher for the K31 and K11. The thing that amazed me was the sheer size and heft of the front sight pusher. It was a pound and a quarter of machined steel.

Sounds like it is a good shooter. Be sure and give it a good cleaning after shooting with that corrosive ammo.

Does the muzzle of that barrel have a beveled edge? I've got two barrels very much like that barrel.

This is what the Mausers looked like when I won them at auction. I would have a hard time D&T'ing a surplus rifle in good shape myself. Plus, the d&T'ing had driven the price down to an amount that probably approximated the cost of the sporterization.
