The rifle is a Cadex Kraken, 1/9.5 twist 27” barrel. Ammo is commercial Lapua 250gr Lockbase... off the shelf, not reloaded. thanks to you all for the input!
Hi all, need your input on this fired 338lm case. Went to the range today, shot factory Lapua 250gr Lockbase ammo. Temp was 3 celcius... no real sign of pressure. Easy extraction, no ejector or extractor marks... primers are flat though... got a little bulge 3/8” from the case head. Can feel it...
Did some testing and 43.7gr of Varget pushed the 176gr at 2699fps. 0.45 MOA. 44.3gr of IMR4064 pushed them at 2775fps. 0.5 MOA. That’s out of a Cadex Kraken 308win, 24” barrel with 1/11.25” Twist.
hey guys, quick one. How many mils of elevation did you get once the scope has been zeroed? With a 1.5” Spuhr mount and a 30moa rail, I got 23.2 mils left... What did you get?
Just received my ZCO 527 with Impact 2 reticule and wow, I’m impressed! I don’t regret ditching my S&B PMII at all. Only 2 little things I found that are annoying but that’s the best scope I had. 1- the parralax turret will interfere with the Spuhr Mount wedge while mounting the scope but easy...
I use the 175 Lapua scenar-L with varget and federal GMM brass and get 1/4 MOA at 300m. 41.8 gr of varget and 2.236” CBTO. Will shoot well in any rifle! Will still 1/2 MOA at 1054m 24” barrel with 11.25 twist
Hey guys, just need your input regarding the AB trajectory calibration feature. I did shot a match yesterday and distances were 769m, 874m, 1032m and 1054m. i do shoot 308win. Are these distances enough to calibrate the trajectory? please let me know what you think Cheers
I had one on my Samo TRG42 on 338lm and now on my Cadex Kraken in 308win. It’s better than the AI brake for sure. Recoil is minimal and blast is not to “extreme “. good choice but I think it’s a bit on the big side. you won’t regret it!
