I bought a Modlight OKW head for my Scout Pro. The throw is much tighter and it seems to get out further, but I haven’t had it in a range at night to prove it out yet. I’d like to try one of the new Cloud Defense units as well.
My 2007 FJ rips the inner boot regularly. I have no idea how, but I’ve had three axles done in the last 3 years. Last one was in the truck less than 3k, ripped. No idea how this keeps happening. Doesn’t look like anything is touching through tte range of motion . Only on 32s so no lift. As...
I can’t tell if you are running a Trijicon sealing plate, or is sealing up the battery compartment not necessary for this application? Curious minds and stuff…
For the money, it’s a pretty nice pistol. It has only had two failures to go into battery in the last 1000 rounds. After that last failure I replaced all the mag strings and followers. If I continue to have issues, I will certainly get different mags. It seems most of the issues are due to...
I have a set of Atlas recoil springs and a shock buff waiting to be trimmed and tested. I have extra power main and firing pin springs waiting to be installed. When they go in we’ll work the trigger return spring up as well and get it a field acceptable trigger pull/over travel. Mags already...
Good luck. May need a new pin and training screws. I’ve not shot or looked at this rifle is so long I’m not sure if GAP sells field kits for it? Would be nice to have an extractor/spring, firing pin and spring, maybe an ejector , just in case. Anyone know off hand?
Not anymore . Once COVID hit and over landing went main stream these trucks doubled. In 2018 you couldn’t get $9k for a 140k Gx. Same truck today is $14+ if it’s not a pile of shit.
I ordered a recoil Atlas spring set as well as a heavier main and firing pin spring. My Prodigy runs well. Maybe one failure in the feed ramp every 350-400 rounds. None since replacing the mag springs, which were all twisted for some reason. The matches we run will have the pistol under water...
Correcting pin protrusion fixed mine. The culprit was my gunsmith was not familiar with these actions (they were new, mine was un-coated) and when he coated it, the pin was loose after reassembly. FWIW, I sent mine into GAP and asked them to check the entire bolt and Firing pin assembly...
Go back in this thread and check for the pin protrusion range. Possible your firing pin may need to be adjusted if you’re already using a 30 hanger. Edit: Hopefully the measurement wasn’t on Scout. I don’t recall what it’s supposed to be anymore, but a call/email to GAP should fix that...
