Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

My friend just got a almost new custom 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo EMTB with 20 miles on it. Has 180mm travel front and back. Said friend couldn't get this model bike out of head, he had to have one so we looked and looked and I found this on Pinkbike classifieds. A neurologist in Bend OR had...

I can't even imagine doing 76 miles. Good job Jbell! I'm a tuckered old guy right now. Just got back from 12 miles of single track in pretty rough terrain for my ability level, with steep drops off in various places right off the trail, tight corners on the switchbacks, and lots a big rocks...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

We bought a 2024 Toyota Camry hybrid a couple months ago. It's very impressive in many ways and the gas mileage is amazing. We filled it over a month ago/13 gallon tank, and it's now slightly above half a tank after 16 trips into town and a longer trip down to Sedona which is 80 miles round trip...

Ouch, ouch, ouch....... Man its like you fell off a cliff or similar!! Hoping the best for your recovery. I've been trying to learn wheelies. Darn hard to find that balance point. I wiped out once but it was on the grass so nothing happened. I'm also trying to conquer a steep cindery/marbley...

    Maggie’s Compact tractor advice.

One of those threads linked is about me and my Yanmar 235C purchase. I got the cab version with a heater and a AC which is a decision I couldn't be happier about. Baking in the sun, freezing my ass off, or getting stuff blown in nearly every orifice is not an issue I need be concerned about...

Best value for a benchrest/reference scope?

Because I haven't looked through the Heras all I've got to share in the comparison between the two is what two friends told me. They couldn't tell hardly any difference in image quality, one swears his Ares gets the nod, the other struggles to make out a difference. Both these shooters are...

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

Thanks jbell. It's hard to believe I already have over 100 miles on my Wild and also I'm getting in much better shape than I was a month ago. Seems the aftermarket EXT Fork and shock were worth every penny because this bike is nutz how well it handles, climbs, descends, you name it. No...

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

A fun story; My friends and I from high school, most of us graduating in 78 or 79, all moved to Phoenix and rented a apartment together. We were getting way out of hand in our partying and thus into legal trouble because of it, so I left for home because I foresaw bad times ahead, LOL! At the...

    Another dmr optic thread

That would help wouldn't it but optical compromise in 'the standard' very short scopes with high magnification ratios can hinder the visual experience. I'm not unfamiliar with this having had or having, 1-10's, 3-24, 5-42. I sold the two latter scopes because of this. I'm guessing that the ZCO...

Best value for a benchrest/reference scope?

There isn't a SFP benchrest scope on the entire market better than the Athlon ETR or Heras 15-60x56 as far as bang for the buck in this genre of target scope . These are true jewels to look through and I'm not exaggerating.

    Another dmr optic thread

My guess is if both were 2.5-15 and not quite so compact the visual experience would be improved. I was just thinking a minute ago about my March Genesis 4-40 that even though it has a high magnification ratio and is somewhat compact it has quite a bit of optical prowess which is superior to...

FX Panthera 700mm vs. AirForce Texan LSS

You can add the AGT Vulcan 3 to your list. Mine was tuned by Derrick at Tenacious Airguns, is 25 cal, holds zero well, and sends 60gr Altaros slugs at 862 fps which is 99 fpe. The G1 BC of this slug is .245 so they don't blow in the wind much compared to most other slugs. This combo in my gun is...

    Another dmr optic thread

One would think Leupold would have someone higher up that watched threads like this. Heck I could be mostly happy with a higher quality simple lightweight scope of 2.2-13.2x38 with capped windage, low profile locking elevation turret, a decent holdover reticle with .7mil line thickness and a .2...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

A friend has one but it's not a ring, just a cannon that size. It was hilarious because the barrel is so short it doesn't generate enough energy with black powder and a BB to penetrate a aluminum can.

Scope Recommendations For 17HMR Range Shooting ( Primarily )

The Athlon Heras 4-20 is $339 at Cameraland. Call Doug, maybe he can sharpen the pencil a bit. I have one of these and also the Heras 2-12. Pretty cool SFP scopes with .2 milhash reticles. The reticles are on the thin side so good for what the OP has in mind.
