Since you really just need a barrel and a couple of DuraMags, and SOLGW will replace your barrel for free if and when you shoot it out -- seems like a decently low-cost way to try out something new in an AR15. Ammo is $1.50/rd right now, but even if you have a minimal handloading setup you...
BC Precision is out of stock on their initial batch of SOLGW 6Max barrels, so someone is buying them... Anyone see or hear anything about initial end-user results?
If you handload, 6.5 Grendel in a bolt gun is awesome. Hopefully Palmetto State Armory's forthcoming 123gr 6.5G ammo will be less than $1/rd - that would really open up access to factory ammo again. My Howa Mini action in 6.5G with custom "Howage" barrel in Boyd's Agility stock:

I had to have a gunsmith reprofile the feed cone in my Faxon 6.5CM AR308 barrel so VLDs would not hang up. The factory Faxon profile is way too abrupt and short. Maybe they have fixed this, but when I contacted them they were not interested in hearing any feedback. Not a huge Faxon fan after...
I have POF Rogue 16.5", and so far I've swapped out: - handguard + barrel nut (handguard anti-rotation tabs even fit perfectly on upper) - muzzle device (it is 5/8x24RH threaded) - pistol grip - charging handle - ambi safety right side lever (interchangeable with BAD-ASS levers) - mag catch...
For shooting suppressed, I 100% prefer bolt guns over ARs. With good mag capacity and a 60deg bolt throw these should run pretty darned fast if you need follow-up shots.
After having less than stellar results with the factory 20" threaded barrel, I decided I would try a custom replacement barrel from Crown Ridge Barrel Works. I asked them to take a standard Sendero profile they had in stock (1:8 twist 5R) and custom profile the front for a Surefire MB68AR...
