Hey @Green Hood, please kindly explain why your join date is back in December 2020, and you were silent for 3+ years?

Why is it that starting yesterday, you began posting heavily in the Bear Pit primarily, and in some welcome threads and technical threads, which appeared you just piggy backed off of some existing posts, making it look like you know what you’re talking about?

Those pictures you posted in the food thread… Google images?

You must have missed all the threads about unused accounts being stolen by scammers not to mention all the scamming going on by just adding a period in someone’s call sign and making a new account. For sure, with what’s been going on, if you are paying attention, what happened is a little sus.

I’m an alcoholic that needs help, because I called out a bot that appeared to slip through the Bear Pit cracks? Quite a bit of normal interaction with him/it from other members, which is why I made the post to call it out.

I've seen pictures posted from similar accounts of rifles that are unique enough to know that I've seen them posted before. It's just not worth the time to figure out what's going on and to prove that there's something shady. These situations might be someone trying to gain a reputation to scam someone in the Post Exchange, but there's so many easier ways that they do that. Anti-gun or Fed entrapment attempts would just end up being an epic thread full of memes. So unless I'm missing something, I just figure that it's some poser trying to fit in or a loser trolling the forum. Or Deersniper, in some of the funnier cases.

I got nothing.... but a belief that the world is more and more fucked up every day.

AI, to a degree scares me. Robots/drones that "learn", Self driving vehicles... what could possibly go wrong?.

As others will agree... LOTS of similar new member post introductions which I find odd, and old accounts being re activated.

ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with being cynical and vigilant in these trying times we live in, IMHO.

Methinks it's gonna continue to get worse, much worse with bots/AI/Glowies etal.

As far as the Green Hornet... I have no opinion ;)

The scraped posts are a bit harder to pick up on. They’re not the kinder/gentler AI bot verbiage, more seeing entirely different posting styles by the same poster when looking at post history, then doing an exact search for a sentence. That’s what I found with this one once I saw this thread, different styles of writing was the first clue and a quick sampling of posts confirmed it followed by reporting the fucking scammer for pending deletion.

Kudos to @TicTacTex for picking this one out, and fuck off to @Haney for trying to protect a fucking thief.

This one is not an AI Bot or a Fedboy Glow-Toby...

This one was a straight out thief looking to establish enough cred to steal.

Too bad we can't get our hands on him. Because, oh, the fun we could have with some Red Devil Paint Stripper, a belt sander, an old field phone, and a set of surgical instruments. Oh... the fun could go on for hours! And it would be fun. I can assure you all! ;-)
