Trump brings fire to life.

"I sat in a burning ring of fire. I sat down, down, down and the flames went higher.

It burns, burns, burns, this ring of fire. The ring of fire" - Butchered from yours truly from the Johnny Cash song, "Ring of Fire."

And really, these lyrics came from November 2022. I had a colonoscopy performed. The night before, you drink this bowel prep. What is left of your soul and brain tissue will exit through your anus.

And it burns, burns, burns. The ring sting. The flaming loop.

There, that mental imagery should go well with the rest of the scene.

If I could offer some advice to the guy, I would say this. The evil ones he speaks of are real. And will not be stopped by his self-immolation.

Son of a bitch you beat me too it, although I was just gonna say maybe he was a Johnny Cash fan. Yours is better.

How does that story go?

"give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for the rest of his life.

Ergo

light a fire for a hippy, and he'll be warm for a night.
Light a hippy on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!"

Something like that, I'm sure someone more experienced will correct me.

OK, just thinking Defense strategy for a moment... We're going to do this every day until Trump gets acquitted?

Just spitballin here. Help me out (not asking for a ban though)

We're sitting in the conference room throwing out ideas, seeing if we come up with something for the marketing folks. ;)

I'll bet he didn't bring marshmallows for everyone, either.

Just like the Air Force guy.

I wonder if he at least yelled "Opa!" when he touched himself off.

So is this guy pro-Trump or anti?

At this point, neither.

He is definitely pro-grade Charcoal Briquette, however!

My understanding is he realizes it’s all a uni party and all a game to take your freedom.

They are all together on it and they are all against you.

Guy might have had the right philosophy but poor execution.

Thankfully Thomas Paine was smarter in making his point.

This guy could have used that determination more wisely.

This makes a better impression than lighting yourself on fire...

Obviously this is the Pit and we're gonna shit on any topic here, but even if this guy aligns with our views about government, we should NOT be condoning these types of acts. Suicide is a sin and probably the worst sin because you can't repent after it. Suicide discussions always tests my beliefs because I'm a Christian and I'm a Libertarian. At the end of the day my Christian belief trumps my political beliefs.

I have survived two people in my life committing suicide. With the same gun, mine.

And I believe in God and for historical reasons, Jesus was real, an heir-apparent to the throne of Jerusalem.

And suicide is tantamount to Job questioning God as to why he was even born.

I also believe in the 2A and I also understand what people need to do to cope with such behavior. Sometimes, laughter is the best medicine.

We can also view homersexuality (people say "doh!" during acts of intimacy) as a sin and still make jokes about it.

But I get it, the man had a sad and quite possibly ineffectual reaction to the clown world circus that is Trump's trial.

The only good thing to say about this guy, whatever his views, is that he was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs turned up to 11… and didn’t take anyone with him.

The fact that he turns out to be a flaming libtard with more screws loose than an AMC Pacer… is just a bonus.

Different people interpret things differently & some won't agree.

You can't necessarily claim to know what someone's mental state or mental capacity was when a tragedy occurred. Usually such things happen as a result of a mental breakdown and often a loss of touch with reality.

It would be wrong to assume people who wind up taking their own lives cannot be forgiven.
The love, mercy and atonement of Jesus Christ are infinite and available to all who sincerely repent and humbly seek forgiveness, be it in this life or the next life.

1 Peter 3:18-20 talks about how Jesus Christ went and preached to the souls in prison in the next life. He would not have preached to them if there was no chance for repentance:

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

Here is a good talk that might help explain it:

The first time this occurred, it was easy to dismiss it as a looney tune but now we're at the 2nd occurrence of self-immolation in just as many months. A copycat... perhaps but I'm a bit more so concerned now on what this suggests as a datapoint to the mental state and fragility that is being manifested by the much larger audience consuming the same stimuli (whatever that is) that is setting these people off on the path of self-immolation which is NOT an American tradition by any means and up until February- I can't recall this being the preferred form of protest since... 1963 and even then that was a one and done as far as I'm aware. Knowing there's likely 10's if not 100's of thousands more Americans living within our border operating on a similar mental plane is worrisome as if setting oneself is on fire, what are they capable of should they take that same mental mindset and directed it to innocent bystanders? Troublesome times we're in.
