NF ATACR, or NX8 for PRS?

I'm in hard debate between two Nightforce scopes for my new PRS built. I already have an NX8 with Tremor3 reticle on my SAKO TRG and it's been a hell of a great scope, with no issues. For my PRS built I will be going with the Mil-XT reticle and trying to choose to either go with the the ATACR 25x, or 35x, or go with the NX8 in 32x. Curious to hear the opinions between the two. I never want to cheap out on anything, but considering the NX8 isn't all that cheap to begin with, I would still be holding back on a highly praised scope with better glass. But is that difference worth the extra 1100.00???

I own a few NX8s and they are nice scopes but the eyebox is very tight and the DOF requires you to constantly adjust the parallax to get a crisp picture.

The ATACR is hands down a better PRS option of those two. I'd go 35x over the 25x but opinions vary. I'm getting older and having the extra magnification is great for trying to shoot KYL racks with little targets.

I've been a NF guy forever but if your open to a different brand I'd choose the Vortex Razor G3 furst. It's superior in almost every way, I'm running 3 of them. The Zeiss Z3 is another option I'd choose over the NF.

I've had both. I currently still have an atacr. The atacr is made in America: nx8 is made in Japan. If you're open to looking at other brands, check the leupold mk 4hd. For the price, I feel it's better than the nx8. I'm debating selling my atacr and getting another mk 4hd.

I have both and like both.

My ATACR is on a 14.5" URG-I and the NX8 is on a 16" Gov profile upper.

Either will work for most purposes unless you're going for lightest possible (prefer the NX8) or regularly shooting beyond 500ish (prefer the ATACR).

My nx8’s have been my go to’s for most boxes checked lately, size, weight, glass, power range, and great fov, my atacr’s are nice but the warm view and I don’t get along, still an incredible glass. If you don’t mind a scope the size of a truck axle the bigger ones work well.

Great glass and fov??
Boy you're an outlier, I couldn't sell mine fast enough.
Which atacr do you have? I've compared the 5-25 to a 7-35 and they're vastly different.

Only difference I’ve seen in the 5-25 vs the 7-35 was the color and contrast, not the resolution, dof, or fov, though the tunneling is awful on the bottom power. Every atacr I’ve had so far are to warm for my liking, total opposite of the nx8’s I’ve had. Warm for me means less bright. As to fov, the f1 nx8 2.5-20 is listed at 7 feet on 20x and around 6.1 for the f2, which is as large or larger than most on the market at 20x. That equates to around 24 degrees unless nf is inflating the numbers.

I have 2 Atacrs in 7-35 and 2 nx8 4-32, and 1 nx8 2.5-20, all mil-xts. The Atacrs are great, minus the moving eyepiece and power ring which is super irritating if you have scopes with caps on them. Other than that, I'm happy with all of them and ordered another 4-32. It is nice having the 2nd revolution numbers on the turret (Atacr) over the others. If I never had the Atacrs, I would have been perfectly happy with the nx8 4-32s all around.

That’s me, I’ve about settled on the 4-20 atacr and for power the 4-32 nx8, doesn’t tunnel like the big atacr and basically 8.5-9 is not a good starting point for me, referring to the 7-35.
