Did the search on the 109 ELD M's hoping to find some positive comments about them BUT , almost all I found were "FOR SALE" ad's , which usually means buyers remorse / not really great , there are other bullets that shoot better and cost less ?

I've been playing with them. So far so good, I would guess some of the sale ads are because they have been told that the bergers are better. Which I'm sure they might be, but they are plenty good.

I like them. The are a lower cost alternative to the 110 ATip for distances out to 600. After that, the Atip shows better BC. When they were first announced, the chatter was that they would be the same profile as the ATips, but that turned out not to be true. But they do shoot very close to the ATips out to 600yds.

But the Berger 109 LRHT is a great bullet, too and maybe has less BC variance.

Some of the sale ads may also be because the initial sales by GAP were in bulk quantities.

Ive had good luck with them. Had 2 matches where i thought i had a bad lot. Turned out to be other issues. Good enough for top 10 finish in a one day

It’s all I’ve shot since I ran out of Berger 109’s last year. Finished that barrel out on the 109 ELDM’s and 700 on the new barrel. Last barrel was a 1-7.5 twist , new barrel is a 1-7 twist. I do feel like they work better with the 7 twist but my shooting partner runs them on a 7.5 twist with no issues.
This is the first 5 after cleaning my barrel after my last match. Between the 2 barrels I’ve shot just over 1500 of the 109 ELDM’s.

Had a one day match yesterday, 9 stages 86 rounds. First time shooting the 109 ELDM’s at distances past 1000yds. Had hits out to 1307 with them in my 6GT with the wind being a factor and not the bullets. So far my load with the 109’s seems spot on. I don’t see anyone having problems with them, this makes 5 matches I’ve shot them in so far.

I'm running them to break in a 6gt barrel for first 200 rounds, 35.5 H4350 seated 60k jump in a 170 freebore chamber. It shoots half moa on paper at 400y. Had no issues hitting steel to 1200y, ran some mocked up stages last weekend from 400-990y, only dropped one shot due to a poor wind call. They're running 2820-2830fps and the groups on paper are mostly vertical, so I think a few more tenths of powder up or down will tighten em up. I was running 4dof, at a form factor of 1.002 to get dope to line up at 1200y, I believe this will be around g7 of 0.286, this is in a 7.5tw hawkhill 237 bore heavy Palma. The bullet shoots well.

Sounds like we’re running them damn near the same.

I’ve came up with .284, just wanted to make sure I was close since this is a fairly active thread, sounds like I’m in the ball park, I can’t shoot that difference.

Thank you.

.284 to .286 sounds right to me, definitely in the ballpark. I've been using .290 with a 1:7.25 barrel, but I switch to ATips after 600yds so I have not spent any time refining it.

AB had their mobile lab at a match I attended last year and three of my buddies recorded BC's of .285 with a BC sd of .7 on a 7.2 twist, .283 sd .3 on a 7.5t and .279 sd .6 on a 7t, each of these were a 10 shot averages.

Barnes makes a 112 match burner that shoots pretty good and is cheaper.

Early lots of 112s were extremely inconsistent, bto carried by up to 008" in checking a box, pressure ring diameter all over the blace. Shot like shit. I unfortunately bought 1k of em. Have 700 left and they're only used to break in new barrels.. Maybe newer lots are better. I'd rather shoot 115 dtacs VS 112mb. Better bc and consistency. The 109s have been very consistent dimensionally for me.

I ran out of 108 ELDm for a soon Prairie dog shoot. I have a 200 109 ELDm for a 6mm Creedmoor Bartlein 7.5 Twist bbl. Any suggestions on how much of a jump or jammed into lands?
