Does anyone know if the Howa mini can be opened up enough to fit the 6br case head? I have a bunch of 6br reloading supplies and would make a easy recoiling deer rifle for the boys. Nothing wrong with the grendel as is, but

I am late to the thread, but I built a 6 BRA on a Howa Mini. I had to bush the firing pin to stop pierced primers. I was able to open the feed lips and shorten them to run the 6bra cases no problem. I am shooting 95 grain bullets. Check the over all length of your load to see if it fits in the mag. I will post pictures.

Love my little gun. I just got a Stockys VG2 for it.

They are 95 grain VLD-h

Jefferson makes bottom metal to run the CZ mags, I want to see if that changes anything, but I like the DIP bottom metal and mags just fine.

As a side point, I’m running the Jefferson hinged floor plate bottom metal in my .223 and it maxes out at 2.47.
I believe they make a Grendel option as well, that would possibly be useful.
