i shoot 175gr SMK wondering if anyone has used a whidden die system or meplat trimmer, one or the other or both, and the accuracy difference from 400 to 1000mtrs.

I use a home made die a bud made me. Swapped the guts out of a Forester die for an insert he turned on the lathe. Closes the tips up and increses the BC about 5% on a 175SMK.
