Looking for an AR mag that doesn't catch the bolt

I just bought a Ruger American Ranch Gen II in 300BLK. It uses standard AR magazines. I like to single-load at the bench, but that's near impossible because the bolt catches on an empty magazine. I have tried grinding a ramp on the back of a mag follower, with mixed results. I'm pretty sure there is a "Bob Sled" single-shot sled available for this configuration, but I would really like a regular magazine that will not catch the bolt when empty, preferably one with a metal follower.
Does anyone know of such a thing, or do any of you have another idea?

Just remove about a 1/4" height from the rear of the follower
