Music gets me in my zone. Is it a general bad idea to have earphones in under my muffs? Would be more enjoyable then the neighbors break going off!

Re: Music while shooting. Bad idea or not?

When I'm by myself, I always have my ipod plugged into my impact electronic muffs. If with others I do not so I can participate in range safety.

Re: Music while shooting. Bad idea or not?

Since I usually did most of my shooting with my ipod in/on I liked it. TCing a ASV with my iPod hooked up or sitting in teh gun turret was even better(VOX interrupt too) rocking out in the heavy armor was the cats ass

Re: Music while shooting. Bad idea or not?

I have tried thousands of songs from hundreds of genres.. This song is the best for shooting:

I haven't shot with the sounds playing but rock music would ruin every shot for me -classical keeps my focus and sooths my soul

Oh hell yeah music is awsome while shooting. My buddies and I don't wear hearing protection so we basically just keep our car systems on while we shoot. As much as I hate this type of music in general, rave music is actually pretty cool to listen to while shooting. My personal favorites are classic rock, rap, and Mariachi.

You have made Going Full Retard a profession.

Re: Music while shooting. Bad idea or not?

ever since my wife ruined my dry firing range in the house, I try and get atleast an hour of dry fire in at the range before I go hot. Since I'm not wearing ear-pro, I rock out then. I have found to prefer good gun fighting rock like Dope, Slayer, Metallica, Drowning Pool, Black Label Society, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, and Pantera. But sometimes I listen to Chicago or Hall and Oates.

Re: Music while shooting. Bad idea or not?

When I'm in the zone, and concentrating on my shooting, a live concert by The,"Who" set up behind me wouldn't break my concentration. No way in hell I'd notice music playing on an ipod or car stereo.

Guess not everybody is like that. To each their own.
