I looked through the stickys on here but looking for some specific feedback on these.

Anyone have a good starting point for these bullets and powder for .50 cal? Will be a bolt action.

South African 690 gr
FMJ /ball 647 gr
Hornaday 751 gr

Will be using H50BMG powder.

Shooting from 300 - 1,250 yards to start.

I load those South African 690g & 750g Amax in my bolt gun, I load 215g of H50 for the Amax & 220g for the cheap ball 690g (they suck balls) the Amax is 25 moa to 1k but I've never been able to run it thru a chrony because of too much muzzle blast screwing with my cheap ass chrony. They are not hot in MY gun but can be in yours!!
Lake city brass & Tula .50 primers is what I use.

Thanks, I was hoping someone would respond!

I'm going to see if a Magnetospeed will work for chrono data.

I know the string is a little old, but hope to save others from doing what I did with a V3 , magneto speed. Strapped it on with a tiny portion of the strap covering a tiny portion of a muzzle brake hole. I still can't find that strap and never got a reading from the v3. luckily a new strap and I'm back in action, but not on the 50!!

I am up to 214 gr 50 BMG in a McBro single shot bench rifle using 750 amax.
