Rifle Scopes Official Zero Compromise Optic News & Updates

AnY oNe has 8-40 on top of the rifle?
How is it?
One is coming to test for me, but not date on that put in to a stone, but would be nice to know what does the owners who has
these on them rifles, thinking of the big one?
I have been doing another suppressor test for a company at here in Finland :)

What exactly are you testing with the optic and how do you plan on conducting it?

Highly unlikely at all that you'll have caused any sort of internal damage. Mostly you'd only notice a drag on the parallax if something was binding up. If you're scope has been in those rings and torqued to that value without any issues, you're just fine. Lots of end users using that value without any problems. No sweat, rock on with what ya got.
Thanks Nick. Quick and straightforward feedback is what sold me on ZCO when you guys first released and you deliver again 👍

No issues with parallax so won’t touch a thing.

And exactly what part of of this "festival" did you find moronic and not up to your standards of intelligence, eh?
Probably because there’s a bunch of ZCO as well as many other brands of scopes torqued to 55 inch lbs on rifles that didn’t crush any tubes or crack any lenses. Hell we didn’t know how good we had it when you could buy a ZCO and receive free ARC rings or Spuhr mount from CS Tactical back in the day, now there’s plenty of MBrace once again torqued to the standard the dude who designed the rings says is good to go. 🤟

Mostly the above mentioned. Bringing into question the integrity of any top tier 3k plus optic instead or thinking I’m a fucking moron or my torque wrench is 20lb, off especially twice in a row.

Look, I'm not going to go thru it all again....its very detailed above. But:

1. Jeff Huber told a member 18 in/lbs max...with ARC
2. The manual says "follow ring (sic) manf recommendations"....which, by the by, is 55 in/lbs
3. The manual also says 25 in/lbs is the max allowable torque
4. The box has a sticker that says 20 in/lbs max allowable torque.
5. Most of us could give a fuck about the OP of the thread with his VERY vague description of his situation with his cracked lenses and, IMO, the questions raised here did not necessarily arise from his thread.
6. ZCO did come back and say with ARC rings only, 35 in/lbs
7. I don't think anybody has yet engaged Ted on this specific subject.

Now, if this doesn't raise legitimate and valid questions in your mind, sufficient to justify a bit of discussion, about how this $4k scope should be properly mounted in ARC rings, then we probably don't have anything further to talk about.

I do not see this discussion (minus the regular Hide fragile ego boosting bullshit) to have been moronic at all.

Cheers

Ted has been tagged multiple times through out the "other" thread I believe. Maybe he will chime in. Maybe he won't. I hope he will though.

I’ve had one set of arc rings and so far everything of theirs I’ve had in my hands seemed very gimmicky. I’ve seen a lot of zcos not break at manufacturers torque specs. I’m gonna say don’t worry about it and if arc mounts are the only ones that have broke a zco don’t use them. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not sure there is any evidence that ARC rings have broken anything.
There is none...just speculation and a reasonable inquiry to the manf.

We have no info on why the one guy who started the other thread cracked an internal lens...twice. Unless ZCO or the OP comes back to tell us their findings, we will not know.

Drop it on Adversus mount, and then mount it on my rifle and shoot :)
Nothing technical, just compare it to the other ZCO models, and how much power it can be used when shooting.
I have had few 10-50 scopes, no possibility to shoot in hot summer with the max magnification.
Normally when i shoot with the 527, i might use 15-18x power.
Nice to see, how nice is the world best optic makers 40x scope.

Is there an 8-40 thread? Or not yet since it’s not released?
Looked and couldn’t find one.

My new block mount arrived. First impression is it’s NICE!! Well built, I really like the swing out level and I didn’t realize it’s magnetic, keeping it in the extended and retracted positions.

Price?

Got it mounted today. Hitting the range with it once the nasty weather breaks.

Maybe I’m dumb and missed it. Where can I get the ZCO block mount?

So I had my rifle on the side of a 5 gallon barrel placed sideways. Practicing for this months NRL22. It slid off and hit the wood shooting platform from about 10 inches. ZCO 420. I look through it , looks normal. I shoot it. Windage is .5 mil off. I rezero it, shoot it, shoots fine. Tracks fine. Should I be worried?

Nope, similar my rifle was in a rack at a22lr event, someone bumped it and it fell on the concrete, on the scope. Broke my dope card holder, zero didn't shift, haven't looked back.

Took the shorty 16.5in 6.5cm hog hunting this past week. ZCO is the 4-20 MPCT2, got its first kill at dusk, around 100 yards, reticle on.

What throw lever you got there?

dtma42

How does the 420 feel on your AR10?
I am considering the same scope, but was concerned it might feel too chunky/top-heavy -- I have a Seekins SP10.

Also, what mount are you using for it?
If not too much trouble, could you post a photo of it from the side?

I have an SP10 with a 527. It’s a big scope but so is the rifle. The 420 would probably be perfect. I’m not toting the rifle through the woods so doesn’t really matter. On a bench or prone even the 527 doesn’t feel too heavy. I use an AccTac bipod.

It's perfect IMO. I have it on a GAP10, which looks identitcal to an SP10 since they use the seekins receivers and rail. 20" barrel on the GAP btw.
