Suppressors Question about dead air keymo

I have a dead air sandman L and when installing the brake the holes are not on the top, they are one the side. When I put the shims that came with it on it slightly tilts the suppressor and I don’t like it. So my question is does it matter where the holes are if it’s only being used with a suppressor on it? Thank you.
