The war in Ukraine and Donbas

This is why NATO is dumb.

Some countries in Europe, including some obscure ones that aren't intrinsic to the US's national interests, can drag us into needless war.

Perhaps it's time to rethink NATO.
I don't understand why anyone thinks France is going to change anything. They lost their impact after the age of sail wound down

Due to Russians taking their lunch money in Africa

Rinse and repeat , US trains the Africans who then stage a coup, Russians fill the vacuum France loses another colony six coups d'état since 2020
And this does not seem to be the end of it.

Civilian GPS is far more affected than military hardware , the problem with much of military gear is that it was developed for 20y of GWOT no EW in Afghanistan, Somalia or Iraq.

''A new report by British military thinktank RUSI published on May 19th claims that Ukraine is losing an incredible 10,000 drones a month, mainly due to Russian electronic jamming''

Laser guided stuff is of course not affected but you need a platform to mark a target.

ROFL

You'd think that they'd have better things to do since there's an invasion going on in their country.
Kinda reminds me of the doctors and nurses making tik toc videos during covid

Can't bomb the airbase now and turn it into rubble. Biden does another handoff to the Russians.

A quick search and the only place reporting this is Asia Times.
Sounds like the guys in the foreign legion are basically given an end to their contract and acting as mercenaries in Ukraine.
Does that give France a legal loophole especially since the troops aren't French citizens?
say again, alpha bravo, who's your commander..

Lt. Gen. Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz
I repeat, general Kilo Hotel Alpha Lima India delta............... 20 minutes later Alpha Zulu India Zulu...

pretty sure this is just one way our money is stolen. millions go to build fortifications that are never built.

Rather than use military engineers to complete the projects, Kiev elected to pay construction companies to build third-line defenses. Ukraine awarded the contracts without following the typical bidding process, raising fears of corruption. Additionally, one contractor said the reported progress on the fortifications has been exaggerated to satisfy the government’s demands.

it's opinion, but probably not far off.

We saw a story in Bild yesterday that would confirm this story line. Of all German newspapers, Bild has been the strongest supporter of Ukraine, so we don’t think we are dealing with a case of news selection bias. We know about shortages. This story goes further. Ukrainian commanders are saying that the bottleneck is no longer western weapons, but people who can use them.

Russia proclaimed V. Zelensky and other officials - Putin ordered to be arrested "dead or alive" - Moscow is preparing a government-in-exile

the nwo hates russia because of non compliance with its replacement ideology. russians could teach us about patriotism and defending their culture.

Russia ain't the land of freedom and liberty.
Their government may have some policies you like, just like the Chinese Communist Party now does.
But life under said regime is a lot different than what folks on the outside think.
Folks who like individual freedom and liberty and the concept of rights will probably never be happy in Russia.

I agree with that, I'm thinking of migrating sometimes.
Only south America seems a option to me.

Ukraine will have to wait till 2025 to mount a counteroffensive against Russia, US national security advisor says

"A Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russia isn't on the cards until 2025, says Jake Sullivan.

Russia will make advances in the "coming period" even though US aid to Ukraine is coming, he said.

"You can't instantly flip the switch," Sullivan said."

Biden and Johnson need next bags of cash for Ukraine

Private lenders will not be writing away any loans.

Finally we can send politician to fight in the war.
I am quite certain , politicians and Blackrock folks are looking at this and thinking its great way to cut healthcare cost , they are just wondering why the drafting age is not lifted to 70+years so they could cut the pension funding as well

*note all pensions in Ukraine are currently paid by EU as are all the salaries of civil servants.

This Sullivan guy is an imbecile.

Correction: All Ukrania government employee salaries and pensions are paid by the US taxpayer.
Europe dwarfs US in terms of financial aid , mostly because unelected EU burocrats and institutions can just dole it out without asking anyone , , , new debt issued , and then there are individual countries in Europe.
US is mostly providing arms either from its own stock or buying abroad (most of soviet era gear was not really donated to Ukraine, countries got either US or German gear in circular exchange program or in many cases a voucher for arms purchases in the US)

*we got German 8x8 trucks and voucher for Oshkosh vehicles.

Those numbers look very low for the US, even considering an as-of date for Oct, 23'.
I'm also curious of those "EU Institutions" how much of those are actually US sourced funds?

$113B + $86B + $60B (since this report) =
$156B total.

Above, the European Investment Bank for financial aid gets it's funding source by selling bonds on the International market. Any bets how much of that is purchased by the US?

I'm sure we'd find similar money laundering schemes if we checked the other reported sources as well.

All part of the plan.

Social Security now expected to run short on funds in 2035, one year later than previously projected, Treasury says

A lot of European aid is "promised" and yet to be delivered.

If you look at what the EU has actually sent Ukraine, it's a much different story.

sounds like they were competent soldiers...

Now these are trained, highly motivated and ideological fighters, in other words, professional military personnel of NATO countries, are entering the battle. The first reports (based on radio interceptions) about the arrival of foreign mercenaries in Chasov Yar arrived about a month ago, but then it was completely unclear what kind of units they were.

We dare to assume that the paratroopers met with representatives of the French Foreign Legion, who, according to Military Chronicle, had previously been transferred to Slavyansk.
