Damn, I can't bare to watch that idiot Del Levine. Not after that video featuring his fine explanation of an 'assault weapon' aka weapons used to 'mow down advancing armies'

thanks for heads up however. Please update us if there is any developments.

Next time someone asks why anyone would need an AR15. Tell them it’s to lay down suppressive fire. And make no bones about it.

Passed a substitute Bill that dropped "possession"

§ 18.2-308.9. Importation, sale, transfer, etc., of assault firearms prohibited; penalty.

Original Bill was this:
§ 18.2-308.8. Importation, sale, possession, etc., of assault firearms prohibited; penalty.

so basically a grandfather clause.

Continue to hope that the 4 Dem Senators are still opposed even w/ the grandfather clause. My son's unborn son should enjoy the same liberty I do.

Bill drops registering with State Police. All the other stuff stating whats makes it an assault firearm is still in it.

"Assault firearm" includes any part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert,
modify, or otherwise alter a firearm into an assault firearm, or any combination of parts that may be readily
assembled into an assault firearm. "Assault firearm" does not include (i) a firearm that has been rendered
permanently inoperable"

Magazine ban over 12 rounds.

Is there a link to the bill with the changes?

Now to the next battle...This bill will need to be defeated in the full House vote so it doesn't go to the Senate for consideration and potentially become law. We need to keep pressuring our Delegates!

grandfathering of awb's and silencers ('possession' removed). no grandfathering of >12 round mags. removed the magazine flange language. removed the awb registration/license.

I saw that my Delegate, Joshua Cole, abstained from the vote. Same as voting for it, essentially. I'm betting he was getting some serious heat from his constituents in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area.

...

another 'rally' at the Capital? I'm ready to go. Let us know and we'll drive down. A few more buddies (who didn't go to the VA Rally Day and now regret it) are now up for going.

I like the idea. Unfortunately obviously that doesn’t work. And unfortunately I don’t think another one would. If anything it would probably start what no one really wants.

The time for that stuff is long gone. Unfortunately it seems the next step is isn't happening.
