Sniper's Hide Online Training Program
Sniper's Hide is happy to announce the creation of the new Online Training Forum. The forum will be run in association with Rifles Only and will be a subscription based service.

Online Training Forum
The purpose of this forum is to provide the subscriber with the tools necessary to practice the Fundamentals of Marksmanship on their own through the provided drills and instruction. As well we will cover other topics of interest in the use of the precision rifle system, following a logical progression of training to start the shooter off from the ground floor moving towards more advanced drills and concepts.
We recognize that not everyone can make it to one of the many training facilities across the country, so we are bringing the schooling to the shooter with this forum. Each month we will offer up two lessons along with discussion and drills the reader can take home and practice in order to increase their shooting proficiency. We will also feature other "guest" instructors chosen specifically for the talent they bring to firearms instruction to help answer question as well as provide tips and tricks to increase your shooting skills.
The Lessons will be added twice a month as attachments which can be read, but will not be printable or editable. We ask that the subscriber not disseminate the information provided. We understand this will be somewhat limiting, however because this is a paid service we feel this the best approach to maintain the integrity of the service we are providing. The fees are nominal in terms of firearm training but its is how we earn our living, so we hope everyone would respect this aspect of the instruction.
The subscription for the Online Training will be a recurring fee of $10 per month which can be paid automatically via Pay Pal. The fee aside from going to support Sniper's Hide can use used as a credit for any class at Rifles Only. You'll be able to deduct $120 from any class hosted by Rifles Only with a paid subscription. This is less than 1 days formal training at any facility, given to you in the convenience of your own home. Consider the cost of airfare, rental car, food and lodging, this cannot be matched.
To Sign up for the Online Training go to Forum and register, then go to My Stuff > Subscription and use the Pay Pal account listed. A paid subscription will automatically grant the user access to the Online Training Forum.
We welcome direct interaction from everyone who attends the online training. We feel instruction is a two way street best accomplished by intelligent discourse. If you have questions, need clarification, or have a comment, please post it. Because this is a paid service the interjection of those less desirable elements found on the internet should be cut to an absolute minimum, improving the nature of the conversation over an open forum.
Here is the introduction to Lesson One found on the Online Training Section:
The basic fundamentals of marksmanship are often overlooked in the interest of completing a drill or getting out of some type of tight spot. What that tight spot is may not be of your making, but that is really not the point. The point is to get out of the mess with no damage to you or at the very least a positive result.
If you have to fire your weapon for defensive or offensive reasons, the task remains the same. Drive your weapon as good as it can be driven under the circumstances. It really makes no difference if it is a handgun, carbine, or long gun. Driving the weapon correctly will give you the best result.
If you are fighting with a handgun, obviously a defensive weapon, things have gone terribly wrong and you need to do the best job possible to get yourself a positive result. I only say that because you should never start a fight with a handgun, it is simply too small. (Use a cannon if you have one, the projectile is bigger)
If you are being shot at, the game is the same. It is not the time to let the fundamentals fall by the wayside; it is time to execute them as flawlessly as you can to facilitate the positive result.
Probably the last thing on your mind is the fundamentals at a time of great stress. You are human and that is of no fault. However, if you have not trained correctly, the subconscious will have no tools to work with. Repetition is key,… no, proper repetition is key. You must practice the fundamentals to a degree that it is not possible for you to execute them poorly. Sounds tough, and it is, but it must be done. The weapon system does not matter; you must train with it until driving it correctly is just a matter of putting it in your hands. To not do so is to not care about the outcome.
