Iranian President and Iranian Foreign Minister in helicopter that crashed earlier in bad weather. Rescue teams are still delayed in getting to crash due to weather/fog.
Being reported as a "hard landing". Iranian press is showing TWO year old pic of president next to helicopter for false reassurance.

As of 11amMST rescue teams still haven't accessed the actual crash site.

Iran's health minister says crash site is difficult to access because of fog

From CNN's Adam Pourahmadi and AnneClaire Stapleton

The site where a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed Sunday is very foggy, making it difficult for rescuers to search, according to Iranian Minister of Health Bahram Eynollahi.
"We have set up treatment facilities. We are now in the area and all rescue forces are busy searching," Eynollahi said on state TV Sunday. "We have deployed all medical facilities, including emergency medicine, surgery and ambulance."

Cadaver dogs have also been deployed in the area.

Reports are Iranian Revolutionary Guard has positioned themselves in government buildings now in Tehran.
Reports of USAF C17 just landed in Azerbaijan first time in a year too?
Weather (fog) apparently too bad to employ drones in area. There was also no communication other than one attempted call by the Foreign PM that didn't go through right before the crash. They have the GPS coordiinates of the crash.

Following a rigged election process in 2021, the Iranian regime selected Raisi as its next president. Raisi is one of the the theocratic state’s most notorious murderers. As the Organization of Iranian Communities notes, Raisi helped engineer the execution of more than 30,000 political prisoners in 1988 alone.

Debris field. Shouldn't it be dark now though? And there are reportedly predators in the area - bears, wolves and snakes.

Predators are not going to be drawn to or anywhere near a smoldering crash site.

...unless they think there's a free snackbar.

Turkey says it will send night vision rescue helicopter to aid Iran in its search

From CNN's Scott McLean and Hande Atay Alam
Iran has requested assistance from Turkey in the search for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's crashed helicopter, the Turkish disaster and emergency management ministry said Sunday.
Iran requested a night vision search and rescue helicopter, the ministry said.
Turkey is also sending six vehicles and 32 mountaineer search and rescue personnel to Iran, according to the ministry.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on X that his government is "following the incident closely, in full contact and coordination with the Iranian authorities."
"On behalf of my nation, I convey my get well wishes to our neighbor, friend and brother Iranian people and government, and I hope to receive good news from Mr. President and his delegation as soon as possible," Erdoğan added.
Remember: It's about 11 p.m. local time in the remote, mountainous East Azerbaijan Province where the president's helicopter went down. Even in daylight, dense fog in the area had hindered the search effort.

    He's dead.

You know there are probably some Technical Sergeants sitting in a space force command bunker watching live as the bodies get colder by the minute on thermal... from 10K miles away in space...

    Probably cracking jokes about kebab...

Bah ha haha hh ah aha....

    Hard landing , hahahahhahahh

CIA might of turned him into MIA

So while we joke about this...

What is the next step for Iran?

Because there are a lot of young folks who want nothing to do with a caliphate or a strict Islamic regime...

And there are some even crazier crazies waiting in the wings...

What is happening in Tehran and Qum is what will be interesting...

    Sirhr

PS. Of course, this is assuming this isn't a hoax to bring out the 'revolutionaries' so they can be exterminated. This president is well-capable of such a subterfuge.

Bet that doesn't go down well with Allah!

I believe thats the Snackbar Supreme.

I'll not forgive nor forget how the Ayatollah Khomeini put the charred remains of members of Delta Force on display who went down in a chopper crash during Operation Eagle Claw, a failed mission to rescue American hostages in Iran in 1980.

Actually, noone from Delta was killed, though some came pretty close.

It was several Air Force Personnel and Marines in the Helicopter and C130.

A couple of assaulters received burns, but no deaths.

The Iranians still displayed Americans... doesn't matter who they were. They were all part of the team.

And I hope that Raisi burned slow... He was a henchman of Ayotollah Khomeni... and a mass murdurer.

I stand corrected, I should have remembered that given the fact I knew Charles Beckwith after he retired, up until he passed away in '94. Time has blurred some details.

Until it's confirmed they're dead I'm not getting my hopes up. If they are, the succession could be interesting or chaotic,.

So, the pilot wasn't instrument rated?
    Iran doesn't have night vision?

Didn't Biden leave billions worth of this equipment behind?

Actually one of the Aljazeer networks, SNNTV, actually blamed US sanctions on Iran as potentially affecting access to spare parts needed to maintain aircrafts, thus essentially blaming US for the crash.

    Yup, body double may appear.

CNN says no survivors have been found at the crash site per Iranian State Media.

USA Today just reported "hope is dwindling" that President Raisi will be found alive given there is no sign of life at the crash site. Can't make this up.
CNBC, Yahoo are calling him "feared dead".
    Expect formal announcement tomorrow.

    They knew this hours ago.
