Where can I order mine:rolleyes:if I order on April first can I get it on April second or will this only exist for 24 hours?

Will it be compatible with the new Vortex C.O.B.R.A.?

Introducing Vortex C.O.B.R.A., the Combat Optic Battle Ready Assistant, a virtual personal assistant fine-tuned with features specifically for hunters and shooters. Embedded into select Vortex riflescopes, you can now control your smartscope with the power of your voice. Bore sighting, dialing turrets, adjusting magnification, and setting your zero stop are just some of the hundreds of tasks that can be accomplished with simple hands free commands. Get C.O.B.R.A, and get your scope working for you!

That excited one PRS shooter: “I had all this old .308 brass and .30-Cal bullets sitting around. When I heard about the 7.6 Creedmoor I said ‘Wow this is great, I can use this stuff in a Creedmoor now’. I know it will be accurate based on the name alone. That’s cool — tacticool!”
----------

AHAHA...You got trolled.

----------
In a brilliant marketing stroke, the 7.6 Creedmoor’s designers crafted this cartridge to be 100% compatible with existing .308 Winchester and 7.62×51 rifles.
----------

SIGH. Where is that facepalm pic that I used yesterday?

----------
“The whole industry is excited about the 7.6 Creedmoor.
----------

REALLY??? Wow!

Right now as I am sitting here I just thought up a NEW and REVOLUTIONARY smallbore Creedmoor round: The blazing fast and flat shooting 5.5 Creedmoor. It is also compatible with ALL AR's chambered in 5.56x45mm. Wait. Wat.

----------
Now we can repackage those same great components and market them to a new set of consumers reared on the 6.5 Creedmoor.
----------

At least yer' honest...

Now, how do I submit the blueprints and designs for my newly invented 5.5 Creedmoor? I am sure it is going to be a hit with shooters everywhere. Especially AR shooters. Somebody help me out here. I want to make money.

I'm gonna rename my old F150 [300000 miles] F150 Creedmore . It'll feel better.

Well now that it's out I can break my silence, 7.6 Creedmoor is awesome.

I've been hand loading for it as soon as I was able to get my hands on a prototype reamer.

It feeds perfectly from standard .308 magazines which is quite a trick. It has reduced throat erosion and somehow they managed to make a bullet as light as the 147 grain 6.5 mm ELD for the game dropping 7.6mm bore.

Incredible.

As I go back and read the responses it occurs to me I'm getting old.

If I live long enough I may be able to one day sell these kids a 250 Creedmoor.

Also 7.6 Creedmoor is easy to fire form and my fire forming load is just as accurate as my once fired 7.6 Creedmoor.

Call your gunsmith and ask them if they have the prototype reamer, you won't regret it.

Some Smith's will even be able to ream a .308 chamber to 7.6 Creedmoor so if you just invested in .308 you aren't necessarily out of luck.

Sorry Charlie. 7.6 Creedmoor is a wee bit shorter than 308Win. Can't just run a reamer through a 308. Mmm....you could do a barrel setback. You can make it work that way.
You are close but no cigar yet.

Look closer at post 24.

By far the best thing this new 7.6 CM offers is better barrel life than the 6.5CM. Hell, I can't wait to replace my .308 barrel with a new 7.6CM. Was planning on rebarreling it to a 6.5CM but now this is out why waste the money on a 3000 round barrel when I can get a 7-8000 round 7.6 CM barrel and finally get away from that nasty ol three-oh-hate.

Thank you for posting this.

I am having a blast with this shit today.

Having a conversation with a couple of fellow shooters at work and brought up this topic, while keeping a straight face and being as serious as possible. Managed to reel it out for about 4 minutes, and they finally got it!

I went out to lunch and met a fellow SH member today for the first time. Always great to put a face to a moniker. Drank a couple of drinks and came back. Just saw this and I said WTF...and then lightbulb went off....LMAO...good article

Your phone bugged out?
My phone went nuts! I had like 26 notifications that Blue Sky Country had posted in this thread.
I thought you had gone nerts.

Every time I use a smilie, the screen freezes up for like 3 minutes. Usually I wait for it to unfreeze, then hit 'post'. Today, after it unfroze, holy crap! WTF. Damage control mode!

Curious if anyone else experience this when they activate the smilie tab.

I love the condescension in your post. Heavy burden bring the only guy who’s smart enough to “Get” the joke!

FYI this is me being a condescending prick!?

I admit it, it got me good. Because it is so subtle and actually plausible. Going by just how bullish the shooting market can be at times, it would be entirely possible that some marketing genius will think up something like this for real.

That is also what happens when you are already browsing and posting even before you have fully left the groggy, just after waking up territory.

Local gunsmith will rebarrel your .308 to 7.6 for $100. Guaranteed to look identical to the original barrel and includes break-in. Drop off this morning and pick up on your way home from work.
