I agree with your intent and really hope you are correct. The pessimist side of me sees conservatives and the Republican Party fail pretty miserably at energizing, educating and igniting enthusiasm with the younger generations. The left has a constant barrage of social media, celbretirs, athletes etc. advertising their movement as cool, righteous and just and portraying conservatism as archaic, racist dorks. I could see this happen with my nephew as he went through college. Not sure if trump will prevail with his fight but even if he does, who’s going to carry the flag next election cycle?

Yes, and we are fucked because of it. The only reason conservatives/Republicans have typically had a shot at winning is that young people generally don't vote (and they generally start turning more conservative as they age and have responsibilities, money, etc.). Now with social media making it "cool", more young voters are, well, voting. And they will always vote for progressive, free, bullshit. They are highly susceptible to manipulation also.

The age of "adulthood" frankly is becoming higher and higher every year in my opinion, it used to be people were pretty grown/responsible even by 18, possibly fighting in wars, etc. Now, idiots are coddled shitheads living with their parents with no work ethic and no accountability for anything until they are 35.

This country is not headed for better things.

It is a lost cause because the Left controls the culture, and they control the culture because they control the mainstream media, academia, entertainment, and social media. As Andrew Breitbart said, Politics is downstream from culture. The culture we have determines the direction of our politics.

That being said, in my 30-some years of being alive, and virtually all of that time spent here in the US, I've never seen the Right as animated and aware as they are today, and we have never had a leader willing to sock the Left right in the mouth with Donald Trump. So I do think there is great hope ahead of us.

Also, it's okay to lose hope. We all do that from time to time. However, it's not okay to give up, ,go awol like a coward, and stop fighting. If amy generation before you had done the same in the face of immense odds against their survival or the survival of their way of life, it's highly likely you wouldn't be here today, and certainly not enjoying the freedoms that you do.

Our government supports half the population depending who's in charge. I feel the Country should be split in half and run two governments so all the people are supported by their government equally or go the route winner take all and water the tree of liberty like Thomas Jefferson eluded to in 1787.

My theory is that the US cannot successfully replicate the idealistic social structures of Northern Europe. Our government is too different, our country is too big and unhealthy, and our economy has been dependent the success of pioneering risk takers which would have little to no incentive in a socialist environment. On top of this, I believe Northern Europe cannot sustain their social structures without US military protection. Once we pull back US military protection to pay for social programs like socialized healthcare, free college, etc., they will be left vulnerable and either have to pay for their own military expansion leaving less money for their social programs or they will overrun by either Russia or China, or both.

Not a single social net in the United States is in the black (funding wise). Social security is something I will likely not reap the benefit of because its funds have been raided by both parties when it should have been 100% off limits with criminal repercussions otherwise just like a private fund. And it is that point -- that the government can just change a law -- that makes socialism scary. Watch 2A disappear. Watch the the dominoes fall.

The term conservative strikes me as a failed adjective. For the last 20-30 years the " conservatives" seem to fail miserably at conserving anything.

That kind of sort of sounds like turning over the entire future to your enemies.

Children are excellent in times of adversity if you have trained them right & have plenty of them.

What you want to do is train your children to be in the world but not be part of the world, or in other terms be red like a radish.
Teach them how to be the underground resistance, pretending to be innocent and going along with everything on the outside, while on the inside they are carrying the torch of freedom and working covertly against their enemies.

Children are very capable of being quite crafty and able to play infiltrators to perfection.
