A new study shows that 53% of Californians would leave the state if they could.
I guess they're too dense to realize changing their voting habits would change their state?
Liberals are literally like locusts, devouring the resources of an area, ruining it, then looking for their next free feeding.

I don't think changing voting habits would work in Cali. They need to change vote counters.

I've read that the will of the well minded Californians we're overrun by the 1st illegal amnesty run. Its likely much like what is being pulled at a national level now.

Not sure if that's accurate, but there are sure to be some Californians ( even if a handful ) that would make good neighbors and blend in.

More than people outside CA would think to the point im suspecting the political monopoly has more to do with FS1's post below. It truly is run like a mafia.

Really sorry Colorado.

You mean because all the Californians fleeing the fruits of their decades of liberal voting and legislating are moving here and turning Denver into San Francisco in record time? Yeah, gee, thanks

People from CA/NY/NJ/IL/MA should not be allowed to move to another state without getting a visa first. They should have to prove they will improve the state they are moving to.
The real problem is voter fraud and gerrymandering voter districts. I hate Illinois Politics. It's a fucking who's who of corrupt assholes protecting what they stole from taxpayers. Look at an election map by county. The vast majority of the state is RED. I vote everytime, work for the State, and a local municipality. If it wasn't for the farm ground, my family, I wouldn't hesitate to move to a free state. I understand your concern, I just wish the same chemicals we use on our corn and bean fields worked on liberals.

I am actually waiting for my chance to move to Cali. Fat tech salary, beautiful weather, amazing parks. The sheer number of people I can introduce guns to (it is hard in Texas when most everyones been shooting).
I can't wait to start voting in that state.

Lol, Chances are you can't bring your guns, or your car. Have you seen the astronomical cost of living and unaffordable housing, not to mention the homeless that live in the nice parks.

You'd fit right in with CA voters. Trade you CA for Texas. I can't wait to move out.

Of course all these polls and data are open to interpretation. Mostly bullshit, liars figure and figures lie.

You couldn't pay me enough to move to that state. I'd rather do like what the rest of Californians are doing, move to Nevada.

Too bad that big tech salary will be taxed until you are at minimum wage. You won't be able to afford ammo. Hell you will be lucky if you can afford a place to live.

Truth be told, I'd prefer some of the shitholes we played tag in long ago over that state an a few others. Very sad to say that but, it's the truth. Back in the 60's one could see it going to shit if they looked close enough.

I at least appreciate your enthusiasm. You will increase the IQ of both states when you move.

A friend has been in CA for the past 9mos after getting a gig at FB and is coming back to VA this July with or without a job. Once everything was factored in, he's losing money living there due to the cost of living.

Saw him this weekend at a wedding and he said the real estate tax scheme and the ban on most new residential construction means there's like a 1:20 ratio of homes to residents, which is why some of those homeless you see in the parks might be making six figures at a tech firm and just cna't find a place to live, haha.

Also mentioned there are people renting out "lots" in their homes. Basically, you get the square footage covered by an air mattress and a few drawers in a dresser for $1,500/month.

CA, FL, are cocaine and prostitution capital. They vote stupid people to represent them in public offices, they allowed illegals flood their street and now they are tired and want to leave. smh

I fail to understand the 'if I could leave I would' mentality. I have lived in 6 States. No guards, no security cameras, no barricades, no walls, ... And, 2 of them have borders with Mexico!

It all depends on where you live. I live in a very small town where the cost of living is no higher than anyplace in Texas. Is it a shithole, yes. But, they pay me over $50 an hour and about $35 an hour is going into my retirement fund. I'll be leaving California in a few short years with a military pension, a second pension from this job and a shit ton of money I put away myself. I didn't want to move to California but when my employer said "You don't have to go but that's where your job is now" I did my best to make lemonade out of lemons.

ah yes, and just like that I am now the unwanted immigrant. LOL
My whole purpose of working is so I can move out of here. The plan is: I need to get make enough money to buy a nice piece of land and house and then get a job as a Walmart greeter somewhere in the free states. I'll keep you posted.

He's in Fremont just across the bridge from Menlo Park where FB HQ is at, so certainly not on the low end of the CoL scale.

And good on you for sticking it out. Would be a hard call to make, but wants and needs are more easily in conflict as we get older and start to add variables to our lives.

Thanks. It's not optimal but pretty much everything I do revolves around my family and them having a secure future. Having a nice retirement for myself is the icing on the cake, but I would gladly sacrifice that for them. I've done the math, interviewed for dozens of other jobs in my field and it always comes out with losing significant amount of money by bailing out of our current situation. I just can't make an irresponsible financial decision that affects their future (and mine) because I don't like the politics where I live.

I was stationed in San Diego in the early seventies, and was so impressed with the city, I thought about staying there. I thank God every day that I didn't do it.

Cali is so bad. You can surf in the morning, shoot guns in the desert in the afternoon, and snow ski in the evening. And they have the nerve to have high paying jobs. You should probably move to the Midwest where it's legal to knock up your cousin and ride around dirt roads drinking Schlitz listening to Florida Georgia Line.

Boss at my last job lived across the bridge from SanFran. She bought a new house and told me she dropped $1.2M on it. Ended up going to her house for dinner one night while in CA. In my mind for years it had been a big beautiful home until I saw it. Was one side of a very small dumpy duplex house that would have cost $150K max where I lived. The quality of life sucks there in every way.

I served my country for 23 years, i'll live wherever the fuck I want thank you very much.

Wow, you certainly missed the entire point of my original post. A visa is not exclusionary, it just acts as a potential filter.

If you don't vote democrat/socialist/communist then my post was not directed at you to begin with.

My comment was nothing more than a tongue in cheek dig on our recent join from Nevada who keeps trying to push Californians to Wyoming. I very much agree with the libs fleeing to real Communist states where they can actually have what they ask for. North Kores is hiring tech big time, those panty waist Googlers can all fuck off there at their soonest opportunity.

Yeah, living in the poverty capital of the country, dodging trannys and other freaks of nature is so refined.

When you go shoot in the desert, can you bring your suppressed SBR and standard capacity magazines.
A 50 cal?
A semi handgun like a glock 17 with standard magazines?

Bwahahahaha!

Don’t forget carrying concealed to and from there too. Give Cali a few years, they will be having to buy carbon credits on each box of ammo and pay an EPA tax on the lead.

I took a recent trip to the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce parks. If there was an asshole riding my ass while I drove through absolute majesty at the speed limit, 9/10 times they had Cali plates. They have no idea how to enjoy life as theirs is so miserable.
