As a country, we are screwed. The reality is about 38% of this country vote right of centre.

Now that there are 2 parties right of centre, one just barely and one where the right actually lies, we will end up with a split vote.

The only reason historically we were able to get a Right wing government is the left were fighting like idiots and had 3 left wing parties splitting their vote.

Sorry Sean, I am not even remotely optimistic in the outcome of the election. I am actively trying to figure out how a tradesman can move to the USA, I'm done here......

I will agree that your country does have current hardships and dark clouds. I have visited many different states, not quite all of them, but many over the past 40 years and have many American friends.

While my knowledge of your country is neither complete nor comprehensive, I am able to make a fairly accurate comparison between my country and yours.

Many of the things that you take for granted in your daily lives are not even available here, nor ever was. The way in which you view the world comes through the lens of your life experience. You would need to grow up in Commie-Lite to understand it.

For us, a move to California would bring untold freedoms. Let that sink in for a bit.

That's why I am trying to find a way to move there. Always open to any suggestions or pointers.

Sounds like the AFD in Germany.

Translates to Alternative for Germany. They are basically Germans first, no immigration, no more bullshit spending, no more retarded taxes and no socialism.

They came out of left field like 6-7 years ago or so. At first the rest of the political parties didn't think much of them, and then when the election held like 6 months before we elected Trump happened, they had won the largest amount of seats at one time in a long, long time, if not broken the record.

All of the other parties threw their hands up and started screaming about how this is the new nazi party, its a bunch of racists, etc. They then did their usual shit of formed voting blocs where one party would partner with another, so their combined votes are more than whatever other party. They are literally frightened by them now, and thats always a good thing.

It's telling to watch. Just like the Capitol building thing. You know when you're over the target as all of a sudden a bunch of people that can't get their head out of their ass and do basic shit, want to invoke all sorts of laws and whatever because they are what is at stake.

Sure, I would be glad to. Here is a quick list off the top of my head. If I sat down and thought about it for a while the list would probably quadruple.

-Media, our main media corporation the CBC, is a federally owned entity that the main left wing party in Canada is very protective of. The CBC tow the left wing party line showing immense bias. In my lifetime the media has had bias to the Left the whole time, this is nothing new for us.

-Mortgage interest, USA is deductible on income tax. Here it is not, our tax rate in Canada is insane for what we are getting in return.....

-Income tax, you pay less there, period. I am all for being a contributing citizen but up here the more you work the more you take it in the hoop. It is truly brutal.

-Medical care, with good insurance the quality of care far surpasses what is available here. Your world renown Healthcare facilities such as Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Cedars Sinai, etc. We do not have that here. There are many treatment protocols available in the USA that are not available here, if you die because of it, oh well, free healthcare...

-Motorsports, very limited here, facilities are few and far between. Either through politics or nimby’s shutting down tracks. Yes, California has CARB and EPA being a pain in the ass but up here it is a many factor issue from prohibitively expensive to tracks so few and far between.

-University Education, you guys are new to the leftist indoctrination camp style of education and still have the ability to turn that clock back. Not so here in the great white north, too far gone. It's been this way my whole life.

-Insurance, whether automobile, house or life insurance, it is way cheaper down south. The wife and I have great driving records yet for 2 cars that are 10 years old the insurance is $3000 a year for the 2 of us. Let's not talk about the house or life insurance.

-Military, ours is more like a national hobby, trust me, I have been involved here the better part of my career and have travelled all over the world on a shoestring budget doing our best with what we have. Our top tier are some of the best in the world but this country flat does not care about its military.

-Travel abroad - Security. If a Canadian gets themselves in a shitty spot abroad, they are in big trouble, nobody is coming for you.

-Business ease, over regulation here. Rules and restrictions for damn near everything. Very hard to make it as a small business here.

-Shipping costs, it is insane here compared to USPS or any of the couriers down there. For laughs go on somewhere like Rockauto, add some items to you cart, check shipping to your address, then change the address to a Canadian one, lets use a postal code that isn't mine but is in a major city, say S4X 4P5. You will see your shipping cost is minimum 4 times higher. Imagine doing this for everything you buy online....

-USA has a National intent on accomplishment rather than thinking you are better and smarter than your neighbors to the south with minimal accomplishments of your own. Our best and brightest move south, period.
