meh.

people have been reliant and far too comfortable with depending on others for their security for far too long. this kinda stuff is going to harken back the days of people solving their own problems.

at first, i was all against defunding the police. then i changed my mind because of non-stop government abuse of power. fuck it, fuck it all. the sooner we all start taking responsibility for our own security and quit looking to others for it, the better.

Who's up for a crime spree?

Kind of surprised some resident didn't just pop him, leave the body some place and not say shit. That doesn't exactly look like lilly white suburbs or nothing. Happens quiet often here in Detroit.

Well, it's Colorado.

Cheetah's anyone?

Don't you folks have county sheriff's or state police you can call?

Is that one of those places like grinder?

Residents felt that the police had abandoned them???

Then why keep waiting and hoping for the best? Perp gets violent, perp gets capped... Phone call to the police and EMS: "There is a body on the ground"... Three or four blocks away from the building. Problem solved. Problem STAYS solved.

What the fuck? Gotta suck government's dick whenever there is a boogeyman around? What's next? "Lightbulb just blew out. Call the electrician!"???

I don’t agree with it at all. But when the media and public start abandoning police, some are going to abandon back. It’s not the right thing to do, but it’s reality.

Also, changing the title of this thread as it’s not a fair title.

☝☝☝☝

This x1000

People in cities rely on law enforcement for the most petty of things. Instead of just taking care of shit themselves.

Neighbor has their music s little too loud?
Neighbor blowing lawn clippings or leaves onto your property?
Neighbor parks their vehicle in front of your house and on "your part of the street" on a public roadway?
Girlfriend getting too loud when she found out you were texting 10 other women?
Boyfriend getting too loud because he's realizing he's pussy?
Neighbor revving their engine while doing to repair work?
Neighborhood kids playing basketball loudly at 11am on a Saturday during summer time?

Easy solution

Call the police.

[/QUOman,

I'm good with this, just don't tax me for cops dental plans.

Unintended consequences?

I've occasionally suggested that the best way to deal with the municipal morons was to give them precisely what they ask for, and plenty f it.

My daughter moved from Maryland to Aurora and was only able to last for 15 months. She couldn't wait to get back. That's gotta say a lot about the place.

I didn't read all the comments so maybe it has already been stated. But...

Maybe the "residents" of this apartment complex are also showing up to BLM/defund police protests? And APD is just giving them what they're asking for?

On the flip side, the chief for APD I would ASSume is about as liberal as they get. But I don't know her personally.
