I saw on a instagram post what looked to be a hint at a dead air dedicated 5.56 can. IMO that would awesome. Anyone else out there know anything about it?

I would love to know as well. That’s one of the main things that DeadAir is missing. Every time I ask dead air or my dealer. They always say the same thing. Eventually they will. But they are focusing on the bigger bore stuff at the moment. I hope that the tease is real and they are developing one or starting to make one.

Id love to see a sandman size with the flash hider end cap design welded in kind of like a knights

It was on instagram q&a post a week or 2ago. And they answered very soon.

Is a year considered soon? I know last year wasn't a normal year but still. Anyone hear anything?

Yes, they will officially be releasing a dedicated 5.56 can. Pappas and Rich said It will be out sometime this year . 👍🏼

New video is up! If you like it, please go to the YT link, and hit the thumbs-up button, and the SUBSCRIBE button, and share it all over your social medias. I'm really trying to grow my channel. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

The .30 caliber Sandman-S is REALLY nice on 5.56, and because of the larger .30 cal bore diameter, it's nowhere near as gassy in your face as most dedicated 5.56 cans are. The sound is VERY nice and deep without ears on, and it's even inside the wooden building, it's very manageable for me to shoot without ear protection. And in an outdoor atmosphere, it would be even better (easier on your ears because it wouldn't have the echo).

Maybe contribute to the conversation instead of copying and pasting the same video in a bunch of threads. If you're going to promote yourself, do it well.
If the conversations on here were pertinent to my interests, I would be more than glad to join the conversations...But mostly, they're not. And I'm not going to talk, just to hear myself talk, or to get my post-count up to "look legit".

"Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools speak because they have to say something." - Plato

I've been into guns, hunting, shooting, and reloading my entire life. I've sold guns, ran an ammo plant, worked at a machine gun range, and worked in the industry. Not much of the general chit-chat is going to interest me at this point, outside of NFA items. That's why I almost always comment in Suppressor threads, and not all the regular BS threads. I wish we had just an NFA section on this forum to hangout in.

You're missing the point. If you want to promote yourself, then provide information worth listening to. Posting the same video in a bunch of threads asking for views to grow a YouTube channel is not adding to any conversation.

This thread is about the new DA 556 can that may come to market soon. If we wanted to hear about a 14.5" suppressed by one of the most common cans on the market, we would search for that. Instead you derail the thread by giving information that is not only irrelevant, but easily accessible elsewhere.

At least start your own thread, offer the information you have and give others first hand thoughts they may not have because they don't own a Sandman S.

Also, not sure how it plays to be a self-proclaimed self-promoter and not paying the commercial supporter fee but I'll let that work itself out.

I'm not a dealer, I'm not selling anything, and I'm not making any money off of it. So whatever...

You have your point of view, I have mine. You make good points, but we're not going to agree on this one. That's why I'm choosing to let this conversation die.

All the best with your YT channel, hopefully it grows big enough you get the inside track with guys like Dead Air and you can pass that info along!

Until then, someone else please spill the beans on the new 556 can!

Thanks. Last I heard about a month ago, Pappas said something about 3rd quarter, or at the very least that it would be before the end of the year for sure, for the dedicated 5.56 can. Hope that helps. 👍🏼

They released the Nomad-LT last December, so, I'd probably guess fall/winter. But they could announce it tomorrow, for all I know.

Watch their Instagram stories. They are very active on there. The YouTube poster is in my ignore list so not seeing his posts anymore but previously he was just regurgitating what was being posted on IG so get it there.

I wouldn't put any can on a 5.56 that can't handle full auto fire, they just get too hot when your doing drills!
