Sure, we are armed, and most of us are excellent shots with years of experience hunting and competing in target matches, however, malice comes in many forms. For one, we cannot be at home 24/7. We have jobs and errands to run and arson while a person is away from their home is a MAJOR cause for concern.

At most concerning this kind of shit, a good CCTV system can catch high resolution footage of perps and that information can be used to track down and exact retribution upon scumbags if need be. I hope motherfuckers who want to get froggy PRAY that the judicial systems are still functioning enough to prosecute them legally when they do shit, because otherwise, a lot of folks WILL be taking matters into their own hands. The longer Kyle Rittenhouse continue to sit in a jail cell, the more communist agitators should actually be concerned.

Two reasons I didn't put a Trump sign in my front yard.
One, is for the reason above. I live in a leftist shithole city, and I have a family that I need to think about the safety of.
Two, my wife is a state employee at a local university, and I didn't want the leftist state hacks making her job hell, or worse, getting her fired.

Did you get a plate number or recognize the make/model, etc? Could you provide a description of the vehicle to police reasonably well if you had to? Have you seen anything else like that since?

I’m constantly scanning my street for strange vehicles etc (purpose has always been to spot anyone casing or looking to burglarize; people creeping through for this reason hadn't occurred to me until now).

What am I going to do?

Live life to the fullest I can, shower my wife and kids with love and spend meaningful, quality time with them, and not worry about some obscure whathaveyou until it's time to be concerned. Right now, I'll focus on what's important. Hopefully what's important doesn't change with the who is elected.
