Florida Man Pays for Waffle House Guests' Meals, Gets Killed by Florida Man

@VeerG

Daily Double, for sure.

Ya know, some people know some people in some places that sometimes do things. I'll leave it at that.

I've been shit on enough to know this:
No good deed goes unpunished.
I've also had the pleasure of watching karma snap back with surprising swiftness.

I long for the day that pieces of shit like that little thug are dealt with swiftly. Shame no CCW with sand, was enjoying a free breakfast that morning.

Thanks for the travelling tip of what not to do in Floridappalachicola.

He screwed up. And I mean screwed up bad...

As unfortunate as this may sound, there are very few rewards for kind acts out there. More often than not, you give people an inch, you are just tempting them to take a mile. That is just the nature of the world we live in. It is no place for the gullible, the gentle, or the generous, no matter how some folks want to try and deny it.

Last year in early October I was spending a few days at my GF's house when one night, approximately 1:30 AM, someone started pounding on the door and yelling to be let in, as he had just fled an assault by a "group of guys at the railway station". My GF woke up first and was answering him in the hallway. I immediately bounced the fuck up right out of the bed once I realized that she was no longer next to me and I was hearing her voice outside the room. By that time, I could hear the guy yelling about "bleeding", "ambulance", "they are still after me", and a bunch of other shit.

Retrieved my 1911 from my backpack and when I got out into the hall, GF was literally standing right against the front door and ready to open it. I managed to gently take her hand and pull her back well beyond the swinging range of the door just in case whoever it was outside suddenly kicks it in. Meanwhile:

Guy outside: "Yo man, can you let me in and give me a cup of water? I am bleeding. I need to call an ambulance too".

Me: "Sir, just hold on there. We are going to call you an ambulance right now".

Him: "Yo, they jumped me and they still coming after me. Can you help me out? They gonna kill me. You fucking hear me right?".

Me: "Sir, the police and the ambulance have already been called. Just stay where you are or go behind the bushes so they can't see you".

(By this time I had already told my GF to dial 911 and they WERE on the way.)

Him: (Tone drastically changed from pleading to angry) "Yo that's fucked up son! You gonna treat somebody like that? (PAUSE) "That's fucked up! Come on! (PAUSE AGAIN) "That's fucked up man! (Said that line 3 times) Then silence.

We couldn't figure out if there were others with him, or if he / they had left. I had went into the living room, switched on a 2AA LED Maglite on LOW and placed it on the coffee table to shine right at the door. Meanwhile I stood by an open closet in pitch darkness across the hall from, and 4 feet behind the living room entrance, my gun trained right on the door. If the SOB kicked the door down, he would see the light right in his face and automatically think that I was in the living room. Where in reality I was totally on the opposite side, well cloaked by the dark, with an excellent sight picture and ready to unload some .45 ACP+P right through his ass.

Police showed up about 10 minutes after the hollering stopped. They searched all around the house and then took our report, during which we learned that they did not see anyone outside. Nor there was blood on the front door landing, or any reports of a fight or assault at the nearby rail station. Afterward they just told us to be safe and went on their way.

I am not sure what the fuck that guy and whoever else was with him had been up to that night, but I was certain that if my GF had opened the door, things would be a lot different. Our neighborhood is still fairly decent, but drug activity, "scope outs" by suspicious vehicles, and burglaries are on the rise, and I just do not take chances with that shit.

Be safe out there everyone.

Right up north from the Bronx, NY. We realized the area was starting to take a turn for the bad when the folks who worked at the 24 hour smoke shops started mentioning that people would break windows on parked cars, grab any valuables visible inside, including GPS units with cables still attached, and try to sell them to the shop workers and customers who happen to be there.

Leaving shiny objects in plain view is just asking for trouble, This world is not Mayberry anymore !

He dindu nuffin. He was just trying to turn his life around, you know, trying to leave the thug life behind.

Seriously though, he is going to write a few books in prison urging kids to stay away from the gangbanging life in hopes of letting the system see that he is "reformed" and thus eligible for parole.

Pretty much once I had the guys name and what store he was at and what he did, I didn't need to see the picture.
Sometimes "the usual suspects" is pretty much right on the money.

If you are in Florida, it seems you best be carrying if a certain "persuasion" of folks starts approaching you.

Was he about $1.50 into a haircut when the barber realized he didn't have any money?

I don't know, I was in a situation like that. Long story short, two of us got jumped by ten or more guys. I got a few hits in but it was mostly them kicking the shit out of me. We ran opposite ways. Some of them looped around and came up out of a ditch across the street from me. One advanced reaching into his waistband to retrieve a weapon. And it's the only reason he come after me alone, I was still quite a bit bigger than he was. The street was dark with this loooong ten foot fence the length of it with only this one opening to this guy's house. I banged on his door, didn't have much time to beg or talk, and he was getting closer and pulling out whatever it was he had, it was dark and it happened so fast.

The guy whose house it was, this old man, flung the door open and instantly aimed a double barrel 12ga. at the asshole behind me. I guess he made that split second decision and I'm glad he made the right one. I was covered in blood and pretty fucked up and this guy was behind me drawing a weapon, it sorta made sense. He didn't want none, turned and ran off. Police came but did nothing. So I guess I owe my life to that old man, I really do. Because this was gang initiation shit and to kill a white guy gets them rank or whatever. Never made that mistake again and it's one reason why I carry.

NOW, in your situation, Wilhelm Kant, a 19th century philosopher from Germany, he would have said that you should have let the guy in and help and hide him. But when the bad guys came looking for him, you should turn him over to them. That was Kant's "moral imperative". I didn't like Kant and thought him a bit of a Kunt.

They to display a sign at the Wafflehouse similar to the ones at the zoo. "Do Not Feed the Animals!"

Damn...That kind of shit is something that will change one's entire perspective on the world in less than a heartbeat. I am really glad you made it out of there and I hope God blessed that old man. Even if he opened fire and killed that POS motherfucker, it would have been fully justified. I am fairly certain nobody in that crew is working on a cure for cancer right now.

Sad is what this is.
We are the only species that goes against self-preservation.

It's an ongoing flaw in our process of civilization that has been repeated over and over for 5000 years or more and probably will be repeated several more times.

Once Technology and Society is built up to a high enough point that most of the population is not engaged in an active struggle for existence, people get complacent, lazy, spoiled and start caring about their own pleasures only. Coupled with this, everyone starts going soft on crime because they don't want punishments themselves and don't want to have to dish them out either.

Then eventually things decay till they reach a tipping point and then comes the collapse.

And this is why I've been saying that public hangings in the town square should be brought back to the point of 'entertainment' otherwise the continued decay will incite one HELL of a lot more carnage and chaos.

History has proven,,,, numerous times. And yet people still don't learn, because 'this time' it will be different. Uh Huhhhhh.

They had them in Okinawa in the late last century.
Hardly any crime there.

Back in the days when you brought the children out to watch the hangings as part of their learning about life, it definitely cut down on the amount of "cool" they thought crime was.

Or go back to the Jews and the original "Rock Concerts" thrown in "honour" of various miscreants where the whole family got to get in on the action.
