for those that like bush planes

I would not want to fly such a haphazard one off experimental. Every flight must be like a test flight. This guy talks like he takes passengers. I wonder how many of them truly understand there is risk of an unexpected interaction between each and every one of those mods. I truly hope I missinterpeted him and he is not taking passangers.

If you follow he and his buddies channels, they pretty much just fly each other around, not clients or random people. Several of the aircraft, despite being standard models, are purposefully classified as “experimental”, so they can make changes without FAA constraints. This plane is frickin awesome!

Thought there might be a few here that would appreciate. I'm happy 'cause I finally found someone with a worse/more expensive addiction than lr or elr shooting.
I would like to take in the STOL completion in Alaska. Them fellers take that short game seriously!

Yeah man . I really wanted to get into radio controlled scaled aircraft . Knowing me I would be going after the jets and going bankrupt .

Always favored these:

Rthur, I think most of us like a slick Beaver.....

Couldnt help myself. I love both those and the Otters. Spent a lot of time flying in both when I was younger.

It's got a 700hp PW turboshaft in it. Killer part is if he takes it to it's cruising altitude it's using the same amount of fuel as the 250hp rotary and 40kts faster. Said he has about $1.5m into it.
Imagine what that recip would be like with even more HP.

Not a true bush plane if he has to fly altitude to reduce fuel to 28 gallons per hour. It is a cool plane just too much avionics and problem solution. This guy must be a great pilot. Husky or Super Cub are still the more practical job.

Yeah it's not the typical bush plane. He doesn't have to run higher, just can to go faster and use less fuel. But also #3000 and have the abilities it has is impressive.

If I head the guy correctly, the engine hp exceeds the gearbox rating. More hp would not be the answer.

It's not a recip. It's a turbine. The plane originally came from the manufacturer with a recip engine (a radial, not a rotary).

I stand corrected, as I already was upthread previously. They're getting as much out of that as they possibly can, undoubtedly.
