We used to have raging discussions on how things would look when the government went full on dictatorship.
Well I think the side that argued that the sheeple will meekly comply while Begging for tyranny kind of won.

The local governments and wannabe tyrants along with "The King's Men" and all the "Just Following Orders" types not only in this country but worldwide are reveling in power, totalitarianism and oppression like pigs in the mud and actual facts / science be damned.

You could make a stand and demand freedom and refuse to submit, but all your fellow citizens are going to be howling for you to be beaten for not being a good little slave.

But of course... no testing for you allowed because well.... we can't get the tests... that other countries like SK seem to have all they ever could want?

Possibly because you test everyone both to see if they have it or had it and all of the sudden the numbers look about a scary as normal flu and nobody is willing to put up with oppression any more.

And of course the rich are using this to get super rich and they will take the poor and the middle class to the cleaners for everything they are worth and totally destroy those who tried their best to work for a living.

Where I'm at, it's $1,000 fine or 120 days behind bars.

I still went out fishing to the Rio Grande the day before yesterday and then hunting afterwards. Didn't make it home til after 10 which is the curfew here.

Then, yesterday, I went over to a friend's to light up the bbq pit and throw some meat on the grill. We also cooked 3 of the 9 rabbits we got the day before.

I mean we were not in large groups of people or throwing a party etc.

I got back from a 9-mile walk about half an hour ago. My city's under stay-at-home but walking is specifically allowed as long as you do your best to keep the social distancing thing going, and I get grumpy when I see other people out there anyway so that's not a problem for me. I'm alone on a trail in the woods most of the time, only have to worry about some asshat on a bicycle running me over on one of the blind turns. They come within six feet of me so I guess I might get the virus from one of them but between that and getting hit by a cyclist, I'll take the virus.

I hope you did't call me a coward... It looks like we might have pounded the same sand at different times. If you are one of the ones to step up and fix the problem, sure, go run around in the Zombie virus or spend some time in mass groups in Chicago. Just make sure that you have some sort of liscense to do so... I would consider a different path.
I spent the bulk of my time staying silent and hidden for the opportunity to strike when needed. I also spent a decent time teaching those principles. I've had to post security and tell foreign families that they were only allowed to go between living room, kitchen and bathrooms for days on end while we did operations upstairs. Understand that I do NOT want that to happen in our country, EVER! And will preserve my rights whenever necessary. But sometimes running around thinking that you own the world will get you into a wee bit of trouble sometimes...

1st Not license to rape. You DO need a license to drive and carry in most states as neither are a constitutional right and Im'sure you want to drive and carry at your leisure. We had "license to hunt" overseas as the Government ordered us do do so; not commit unauthorized acts of war. Everyone should not have to ask permission to assemble in public, but some permits are necessary (just ask your local government) and if you don't like their answer, complain very loudly and see what happens to your rights.

2nd Free men know the boundaries of the Constitution and not given a "free pass" for what they think is their rights.
