I think we learned she can take a punch...

I was a little surprised the ref didn't stop the fight earlier. I think it was pretty clear she was out of her league and hot her bell rung several times even with the head gear.

Yeah it looked like she was in zombie mode towards the end. Threw a punch and just held her arm out there. There was probably more static going through her head than signal.

This has been done to death and seen over and over again. Despite what the fools are trying to push on society men and women are not physically equal. Even pound for pound we're not equal. We're seeing now trans boys in HS kicking ass and making records in the women's events one after another. WNBA, US Womens Soccer, hockey ect teams have scrimmaged boys HS teams and lost, most of the games weren't even close. This woman was a fool for thinking she could win that fight, no man worth his weight on that base or on this planet believed she had a chance. We should be equal in the eyes of the law, no chance in hell on the sport arena.

Dear Ma and Pa:
I am well. Hope you are. Tell Brother Walt and Brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before all of the places are filled.

I was restless at first because you get to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m. But I am getting so I like to sleep late. Tell Walt and Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot, and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing.
...
...
Then we have what they call hand-to-hand combat training. You get to wrestle with them city boys. I have to be real careful though, they break real easy. It ain't like fighting with that ol' bull at home. I'm about the best they got in this except for that Tug Jordan from over in Silver Lake . I only beat him once. He joined up the same time as me, but I'm only 5'6″ and 130 pounds and he's 6'8″ and near 300 pounds dry.

Be sure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry and join before other fellers get onto this setup and come stampeding in.

Your loving daughter,
Alice

Did she tag him, even once? Wish I hadn't seen that 1st Cav patch on her shoulder.

I didn’t really enjoy watching that either. It’s a fucked up spot to be in; either you listen to her talk shit or you’re the guy who beat up a chick.

I was an ametuer boxer. I did club fights, Golden Gloves, etc & I’ll be the first to say that the headgear doesn’t do shit to alleviate the pounding that you received from the other person. The headgear does more to protect the hands of your opponent. If a guy has big power I can assure you that you’ll feel knuckles on your face when using 12 oz gloves.

Shit, as a young man (c. 1991 / 1992) I had a guy in the gym talking shit to me. He was a newer guy whose britches were a bit too big. It got personal & I knocked his ass out w/ one overhand right, - to start round 1. We touched gloves, circled a bit & I threw a big right cross. The guy stumbled backwards & hit the corner. His arms were on the ropes / turnbuckle & they were the only things holding him up. As he was semi-coherently trying to shake out the cobwebs, the trainers got out the smelling salts for him. We’re using headgear & 16 oz gloves. One of the trainers told me beforehand that even though he had a big mouth I should take it easy on him because he didn’t have a lot of experience. Pride got the better of me. I took a small ass-chewing afterwards. After the guy was coherent, I told him “That’s what the F you call power.” No apologies given.

FWIW, I was a Super Heavyweight Open Class fighter. That being said, some of you may call this a dick move, but I was tired of listening to him. Karma & payback were in attendance that evening.

*I keep in touch w/ a few of the guys I used to fight / train with & every now & again someone will bring it up. It’s still worth a laugh over a beer.

ETA: Articulation.

The guy is in a lose-lose situation.

In Krav we had a couple of women in the class at the beginning of one session and that did not last long. After a while the women sparred with one another and then dropped out.

While some might give her credit for being game enough to even get in the ring, I prefer people who have the intelligence to know when to shut up, and when to boast. It ain't bragging when you can make good....she couldn't make good though. Her mouth wrote a check that her body was unable to cash. What was really stupid about it was how obvious it was that she didn't even know what she was doing in the ring.

I suspect that she talked herself into a corner long before the fight and that there was no way out other than taking her ass kicking. I will give her a little credit for getting into the ring rather than making excuses and continuing to boast.

That was...quite punishing to watch.

You can tell he was really holding back too. On 3-round burst mode only. He would go in for a flurry of swings but stop and back off as soon as distance was opened up between them. His heart rate might be slightly elevated after this match but I doubt that he was even winded.

She should be thankful...

- for head gear
- for the referee
- for an early knockout
- it wasn't a street fight
- the guy wasn't a boxer

I give her kudos. She took an ass whoppin' and kept getting up.

Surprised anyone took the challenge. This is lose/lose for a guy; you're either the guy who got your butt kicked by a girl or you're the guy who beat up a girl.
