well, a simple weight to determine the density would be more beneficial, faster, less intrusive and pretty definitive.

The US does not pay debt or create revenue off “hidden” gold

Yep, but I figure the CIA (in cahoots with the FBI) are the only ones who could have sanctioned it and gotten away with it clean. Wouldnt be surprised if LBJ was in on it, it did take place in Texas where he was a governor. Or maybe it was set up that way to hold a stick over his head.

The US economy is so big and the numbers are so large having 20% of that total worth/revenue in gold...wont mean squat

There no benefit to letting the world know how much since it’s not 100%

if a number comes out, everyone will have a different opinion of what it means...good or bad.

Hell....I'm not even saying it needs to be made public....

All the gold is in the i phones.... we have been running low for awhile. Now they use so little gold that we cant recycle it back from old phones, we are creating a net loss thru electronics.

Space craft take the majority of the gold electronics market......
