Found this on the table tonight in support of one of the local high school teams.... Apparently I'm out of the loop but the better half participated in this..Didn't win but good to see. While the school didn't put this out...They weren't against it.....small town USA....Name blocked out because I like they way it is around here.

My son shoots for his gov high school shotgun team. I'm pondering how I can help get a school smallbore team started for the 4-H'ers to transition to in high school.

Here in Sterling, Colorado we have a very fine Lady and some fine Gentlemen who have started up High School Trap Shooting and 4-H rifle shooting.
The programs continue to grow and prosper. A lot of youths are in it from different schools in the area, both male and female.

I support these programs as best I can and am a pushover when some kid asks me to buy a ticket or a T-shirt in support of their activities, I give all I can afford.

Post up any raffles etc. for youth shooting and I will be in unless the local kids have milked me dry. FM
I do go local first.

Our school doesn't have a wrestling team ? but my son is on the school's FFA shotgun team. JROTC has a rifle team. Definitely NOT small-town America here. Rumor has it that the FFA fundraiser includes a raffle for an African safari.

We make up for not having a wrestling team by training in Brazilian jiu jitsu 3x per week.

Hi,

Probably should remove your location in your profile and all your other online footprints.....

Sincerely,
Theis
Yeah, I know, not that worried about it. ..Maybe when my tinfoil hat gets a little tighter ....Might as well forget about getting rid of the online footprints I'll just try to keep them at a minimum.

More importantly.....

One of my family members does that every year, helps fund the church's school.
Does more than any other fund raiser that I have heard of and their church has no problem with it.
Now when I was a kid they had a polkafest on the property, I don't know where the proceeds went, I do know there was two refrigerated semi trailers for just the beer.
And thousands of chickens barbecued.

Most of my high school years were spent in Virginia, and we had a high school rifle team. It's good to hear they're making it back into schools in some places. As a young student, I remember the sense of responsibility we all felt when issued the rifles and a box of ammunition for practice and competition. I honestly think that that is what is missing today for much of our youth; an opportunity to shoulder some responsibility, and the pride that comes with doing it correctly.

Of course, when I was in High school, we still had smoking areas and extra long breaks between two classes a day to allow using said smoking areas. My how times have changed...

I lettered two years in HS on the DCM Rifle Team, and two years on the Cross County Track, East Coast Track Champions; Marty Liquori was on the Sprint Team.

Since @TheGerman is so well off, I think he should sponsor a high school, crew served weapons competition. That or I'll be his ammo bearer. Lol! Ok, Ok, I'll go be middle class somewhere else.?

We have small bore rifle club in my sons school. Also high power long range, shotgun and archery.

You can have all of the fun American pastimes clubs when you homeschool your children and keep them out of the public indoctrination factory’s

I have to warn you, I might not be the best choice in a ammo bearer these days, but I'll give you 110% of whats left of me. Lol!
