No turkey until Sunday. The missus is trekking westward to spend Thursday and Friday with her clan at a mutually inconvenient location. I think that they're going to wind up eating dinner at a Bob Evans just off the highway, of all places. Her older brother's work is highly seasonal and he can't take time off to come East. So, I have to console myself with a 3 lb. braised beef shoulder roast and mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. Damn, damn, damn.

It needed a little salt and pepper, and the juices are thickening on the stove in the braising pot. But, um, yeah, it's pretty tasty.

LOL.....Cleanliness is super important but using great equipment is also important.
I've had my oven for 15 years and some of my pots are 30 years old and the battle scars are awesome
I've only been using these ovens since late spring. I have no clue what amount of abuse they took with the last people. The pot is a few years old. It's from a Portuguese outfit called Silampos. Their restaurant-grade lines take as much abuse as my All-Clad d5 stainless. I don't beat the crap out of my stuff, to be sure. The missus is another story. I let her do the baking, because I never crossed that line in restaurants, except for some pitiful biscuits long ago when forced by circumstance.

All I can say is that they are in amazing shape.
I use All-Clad exclusively but the original anodized type and some copper line. I get Christmas cards from them because I own so many LOL.
However, they all look like they are used and one day I will clean my oven LMAO.

Thank you for the incredible gift and the thought that goes with it. It's officially the 1st annual "Take Your MagnetoSpeed V3 to Work Day". Gonna be easy to remember I think. I'm pretty certain I'm the only CO in America with a MagnetoSpeed at work, even if it is light duty and looking like shit. Crappy night/morning. Wouldn't want it any other way.

Down 2.2 cases of 1lb jugs of RL22. That puts me at 222. Something about these 2's has me somewhat concerned. What's it all mean? ? If I dump another 10-15 lbs I'd be back in my ideal range to build stamina again. Up to me now and hey, why not take advantage of this insane weight loss program? I'd be stupid not to. Time to grab the 25-06 and coaxer/caller closed reed rabbit in distress and hike the logging roads behind the gates for exercise and Yote maintenance. Win win. ?
