I've been to Guatamala but it's been awhile. Ive been in Panama and Nicaragua all under different circumstances. I'm currently in Monterrey Mexico for work. My spanish sucks for the record.
Most of the people I have dealt with are good people. They definitely have there own problems, culture and shitty governments.
I cant fault them for wanting better opportunities. The problem lies with the shit that comes with the good people. I mean legal immigration and asylum seekers with bonafide circumstances.

My point here was that with the Democrats, that they seek out the "root cause" with one issue, yet fail to address mental health, gang violence, etc when it comes to "gun control".

Focus on the root cause and leave the rest of us alone.

Camel Toe is way over her head she can only laugh when somebody asks a question of her. Sleepy Joe stated she may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose and I can work with somebody like that.

We are going to need, and have, immigration for the long haul. What doesn't make sense is an immigration program that preferences immigrants simply because they are nearer by us, or because their countries are awful. What does make sense is an immigration regime of mutual benefit. By that I mean that each immigrant is not only getting a benefit by being here, but is also providing a net benefit to existing Americans by coming. Obviously we can't know that on an individual basis, but statistically it is not difficult to figure out who you want, once you have figured out what you want.

It would be great if we could service all we need here by shutting everything down, but we can't, and for many reasons. One is that we absolutely benefit from many parts of a changing culture and new ideas. The other is that we aren't making enough people, and the ones we are making we are educating for shit. Ideally we'd have all the best and none of the worst here, but there is no indication that our gene pool is tip top in making them at this point.

What we really need, in an ideal world, is social and economic policy that would make useless immigrants want to stay away, useless current Americans want to either leave or get to work, and attract the best and brightest from around the globe. But we probably aren't getting that. To quote the original post, that would be truly working on the "root cause."

The simplest, cheapest way to fix this is to invest all that money that goes to China into Central America. Cheap labor is in abundance and capitalism rises all boats. Plus we weaken China

I have a good friend that met a woman from India in 2014. They did the K-1 visa route , jumped through ALL the hoops , paid ALL the fees for ALL the shit Immigration put them through. It is/was a huge PITA and costly ! Probably over 10k adding everything up.
She got her green card , the day she was allowed to work she did. She became a US citizen , works and pay taxes etc. Even rocks Trump gear 👍
She literally used the front door to get in , she’s now a proud American 🇺🇸 .
Seeing as the borders are open , they should ask for their money back.

Many immigrants do work in areas that are hard to fill. My issue is there are plenty of folks suckling the welfare tit, who refuse to work these jobs. I resent supporting these lazy degenerates. We should end the illegal immigration and require those who see citizenship to assimilate, speak the language and adopt the American culture, or go back to the cesspool they are escaping from.

What is to streamline?

There are currently laws on the books passed by Congress through Constitutional process.

They are not being enforced.

If Congress wanted to they could change the laws through Constitutional process.

They wont though.

Because that would make them accountable.

and neither side wants to be accountable to the people for the shit show they desire which is basically the status quo.

So they lie and say its broken or someone elses fault other than their own.

The Right wants to grow the economy and opportunity and reduce government involvement and interference in our lives and business. The Left wants to grow government and increase our dependency on government. It's really this simple.
