Do any of you have any experience with these scopes? I had not even heard of them before but saw one yesterday where an Outfitter was selling hunts using their BOTW rifles and Huskemaw scopes. Seemed like Snake Oil to me, but I do not know, so bit my tongue and said nothing.
I have a bitter taste in my mouth that just doesn't seem to go away.

Snake Oil was my thought as well. I am pissed this Demo went down on our range. They are talking big $$$$s for rifle and scope as well as their classes and hunts.
I wish my Partner in crime and another member here had been able to shoot with them and see who hits first.
I know who would have won that competition.
Cocksuckers sure as hell raised my blood pressure.

There was a self proclaimed Gunwerks "instructor" invited to our private range a few years ago. He tried to preach a bunch of bull shit to everybody on site. As a joke my 14 year old son challenged him to a shootoff at 1150 yards on a 1 MOA plate. My son hit 7/10, Gunwerks bozo scored 0/10. We literally laughed him off the property, it was hilarious.

I agree on the ethics of shooting long range at a deer or elk way the hell out there. I would never do that. You need to skulk in a bit closer and make a clean humane kill.
I wonder how the hit, DRT, ratio is as to the animals left with a horrible wound and if they follow up on that or leave them to die a horrible death?
In my over 65 years of hunting, I have never lost an animal I hit with the first shot. I have missed a few and that was OK, but if I hit the fucker, I tracked it down and finished it off.
I only did that once, and I should not have taken the shot, but I was young. My Grandpa was to say the least, Pissed about it, went a quarter mile before I finished it off. The meat was not good but I packed it out a quarter at a time. and we ate it.

Relax, let the suckers take the hit

It's the same stupid shit as Quigley Ford

I was tempted to come. Had the day off.
Been busy here and really needed to catch up on some stuff. Lots of camping and shooting with the youngster coming up, so needed to start some preps for some of that!

Im not as good as you, Rod, or ole mustache man, and I still think me pulling the trigger on that LRI .308 would have made their stuff look like what it is..... subpar junk!

The ones I've fondled look and feel just like a Gen 1 PST. About a hundred bucks worth of old tech.

And even if the scopes were 25% as decent as they say.

The larger issue was the crew doing the “teaching” and the crap they teach.

Imma open a school.

“Sneak like a Sioux” hunting school.
So people dont feel the need to buy overpriced mediocre gear and think they know so much and go be crappy hunters.
They kin jus sneak gooder and shoot within their actual abilities and not some BS inflated idea they are Bob Lee Swagger

It’s just a Leupold with a blue dial on it…

I don't know about snake oil but there's nothing different with the Huskemaw "system" than any other calibrated dial system. Same thing basically as the Leupold CDS, Sig Custom Ballistic Turrets, etc. etc.

The issue is the lack of practice, understanding, and education the common user has about their own ballistic system. The LR hunting crowd thinks its great and foolproof so somebody has been doing lots of marketing. It works well enough for those that actually have the knowledge needed - but that's not many.

Funny how easy it is, yet people don't want to learn the how and why, just the do.

For the average 500 yard and in hunter, they work ok. If they're off an inch it's still on target. The 1000 yard hunters are getting ignorant of flight time. You start pushing seconds and things happen far beyond your ability to hit.
