Tried my 1st sponge paint job on an ugly OD green HS Precision stock I had lying around.
You just gave me a great idea! been wanting to upgrade my boring looking set up for a while.
Go for it , way easier than it looks! $40 in supplies and took me about 1 hour labor and two beers .
What type of paint did you use & any tips on how you did it? yours turned out pretty awesome
I used Rustoleum . Started with a dark grey primer base coat , then flat black with the sponge . Moved on to light khaki and dark earth brown , finished with regular primer grey and a few more dabs of flat black.
After it was dry to the touch I douched it with 3 coats of matte clear to help with durability
