What type of hanger is best for pistol targets? The spring pistol target bracket or the slotted hook hanger? I have 66% IPSc slotted target I use for rifle and wonder if Need to buy different targets and bracket. Or will my slotted target be fine at pistol ranges.

The slotted target hangers are great for pistol use, in fact I prefer them when shooting pistol at steel.. No need to get something different.

I sure like our slotted hook targets for about everything.

You want to hang them from a t post or from at 2x4??

I have a 2x4 slotted hangar bracket with 66% ipsc target and stand already. Is that safe to shoot at since they aren’t angles down like the spiting pistol brake the is for pistol ranges. If so I am going to pick up another setup like that so I have multiples for pistol practice.

Either will work fine. You can also get our two hole 66% and t post bracket. Then you can lean your t post forward just a touch!

Thanks for the great deal Jake. Herb

Mad, what distance are you wanting to shoot 50 at??

Thanks!
JC Steel, Im assuming your asking about the minimum distance? Right now I feel confident and safe with starting at 300 minimum. From there, Ill inspect the plate and then move to 250 or 200. Im shooting downhill at 200 and 100yds, so even though the likelyhood of a ricochet coming uphill is unlikely, Im thinking the 50 simply has to much energy for AR500 at 100 anyways.

That is correct. Just too short of distance for that kind of big boomer.
We have personally shot our 1/2” premium ar500 at 300 and 400 yards with 50 bmg Rifles. If your using a standard copper jacket bullet like the SMK, you’ll be just fine. Obviously don’t use any sort of AP rounds. Will just damage or destroy ar500 at these close ranges.

Ordered on Sunday and got my complete shipment today! Thanks for the fast shipping. Can't wait to take them out to the ranch and start hammering on them! (y)

BTW, Congrats to Jake on his win at the Lone Survivor match today!!
