Just in case you think Communist change their stripes, China starts up Stalin style religious oppression

Communists are always trying to claim that they are "better" or "more evolved" than the last murderous pack.
The Chinese in particular have been trying to play the game that they are "better" communists & have full freedom and full guaranteed religious liberty in their basic law....

Right up till Dictator for life decides everybody should worship him and him alone:
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-destroying-crosses-burning-bibles-China.html

Basically it doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or anything else... They are going full on Stalin level persecution just about.

Yet another reminder why Communism in all it's vile guises, such as National Socialism, or other Socialism, or People's Republics etc must be eliminated with extreme prejudice and those teaching it or advocating it are enemies to mankind.

Did I mention I hate Communists lately?

Here would be a great one to make our own Democrap/Communist party's heads spin....
Trump could do a full trade embargo of China till they stop persecuting Muslims (and in the small print everybody else at the same time)....
Then watch the Democrats trip over their feet trying to say he is racist for wanting Muslims to have religious freedom!

Every time you buy something made in China, you are helping the Communists in one way or another.

Nothing new to the underground Christian church (not government directed) in China. Its been going on since the commies took over. Problem for the Chinese gov is they can't seem to make inroads infiltrating the church its so well guarded. Communism as a whole violently hates any religion that doesn't worship them, this is just the present day example.

I wouldn't shed a tear if we emptied our entire nuclear arsenal on that shithole

I would. China is a wonderful country with many many wonderful people who are very open and welcoming in most ways no different than ourselves. Just like our inner cities we shouldn't hold their feet to the fire when they are being screwed, in this case more so than our ghettos. At least here the people can vote the vermin out, there they are hosed. Its the government they have that needs to go, too bad the people really can't do much/anything about it. They fought for hope and change and got it in 1949, most don't know any better but if they had a chance to see what we have they'd drop the commies in a New York minute.

I guess a lot depends on your experiences, however I'm pretty sure if you actually spend too much time in China proper (not the tourist parts), or have dealings with the Chinese Communists or other government types there, you'll pretty quickly find yourself not caring much if a large part of the population and cites were to suddenly be gone.

Mao is back... his name is...

Well f&^%... I can't pronounce it. It's probably on a menu in a drawer in my kitchen. I hear he makes good chicken.

China is going to implode long before they become a real threat. They are utterly on a knife-edge of utter disaster. And when a 1.5 billion person country implodes... it will be TV worth watching. Though CNN won't show it. Because they are Marxist's to their core. They are rooting for China... not a certain Constitutional Republic that I am rather fond of...

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

I been to those markets, lot of Nork refugees there, some serious exotic animal eating going on in the dark side of these cities. Generally I like the Chinese, more so than any European and maybe a bit more than the Canadians, so about the same as Mexicans. Their Gov is corrupt, the internal dissent will bring them down probably within 10 years. I hope its not too bloody and only the communist die.

In general they love Americans and you will be treated very well when they realize you are not a filthy European.

I can attest to Jerry's comment. I have been to China no less than 20 times over the last 5 years.

People are pretty nice for the most part. Couple of things to bear in mind

    1. There isn't a lot of police presence in the big cities other than in Beijing...it is the only place I have seen the police in visible locations all over the city and they watch the white dudes.
    2. However, if you venture outside of the cities without a local representative and end up in a small village; you can get in trouble. There are lots fo "off limits" locations in the middle of nowhere and being unable to read the signs is not an acceptable excuse.
    3. Internet access is very regulated and censored.
    4. Newspapers aren't worth the paper they are printed on. No such thing as the 1st amendment.
    5. Cameras and sensors are all over the place in large cities.
    6. Poverty is rampant everywhere but most of all in the small villages outside the large cities. Most foreigners never see this part of China.
    7. There is incredible racism there amongst their own which surprised me. However, it is not surprising when you consider there is a ton of diversity within China.
Make no mistake, they are good at making foreigners believe they are enlightened but no so much. All you need to do is pull the onion skin back just a touch to see how much control their Government has over the people. It isn't pretty

Last time I was in Mainland China was about 28 years ago or so, so things were a bit different, you could walk around and go places but you always had a shadow and everybody you ran across knew which man or woman in the grey/brown pajamas was your shadow. You could also wander around "freely" right up till the point you wanted to go a bit too far out.

Most of my experiences were in the south where I guess the "lower class" as the northerners would call it hung out. You could tell because if you started talking Cantonese to some stuffy suit visiting from Beijing or up north, they would look at you like trash and be happy to start trying to correct your words to "proper" official Mandarin.

It was a dirty filthy place with stench that never went away and people who thought it a game to see how badly they could cheat you.
Animal cruelty was the name of the game and the official line was dogs were for eating as was anything else (except hopefully you).

People I knew wound up spending time in real Chinese prison and after someone tells you how they barely survived Chinese prison, you'll never think kindly of the Chinese Government or people that let that exist.

And here I thought I was the only un enlightened sumbitch that hated communism and communists. Guess not.

Naw, man. I've spent a lot of time with commies of varying degrees, and long ago came to the realization that they are diametrically opposed to my way of life.

I tried everything I could think of to reason with them, but the rate of success was so poor I figured I was either an ineloquent idiot or they're just a different kind of thing that burns with desire at the thought of their boot on the necks of people like me.

None ever seem to realize we all share a neck upon which that boot will rest if they get their way.

you are still an armature, if you haven't seen the bodies they leave behind you dont know hate.
Don't recall ever being an "armature" But I am one of the old fucks I have seen you disparage. Also you don't have a clue what I have or have not seen.
