While my trip to Kenya is T-36 hours, I’ve been debating whether I should open the proverbial kimono and put this out there. The few who know think I’m crazy for violating OPSEC and possibly National Security, but... it’s what I do.

The risks I take for you, my beloved fellow NODiots.

I present to you — to the entire world, really — the future of night vision technology, today! I can’t state specifics, but the image intensifiers in these bad boys are well above 6000 FOM and have a center resolution of 144lp. You do the math. The fused thermal sensor is a 4K resolution hybrid SMLWIR with microcooling that operates at 420Hz refresh. It uses new fluid-optic technology that allows optical zooming by dynamically reshaping the liquid lenses instead of traditional internal moving of elements. It uses encrypted SATLINK to send and receive realtime imagery and AR overlay info, meaning an F35 or Apache pilot can look through your goggles and you can guide him to target with unparalleled accuracy.

So, with no further ado, I present to you, straight from the darkest level Skunkworks at DERPA, the Fused Operation Multispectral Soldier Hybrid Intelligent Tactical Goggles, designated AN/SUQ-69:

I think the decimal may be in the wrong position for the FOM number.

Not sure I want an f35 Pilot looking through my nods while he’s trying to fly the jet.

You almost had me going until "6000 FOM"... I'm gonna kick your ass all over Sand Mountain when I get out there!

Where'd you find that shit --let me guess-- JC Pistol and Pawn at Memorial and University? He used to sell that shit. Along with $189 AK74's! Of course this was back in 1998...

I had the chance to get PSQ20 when it first came out but didn't bite and it was too damn heavy anyway, not even the bravos (and they were still $20k which probably would have sped up my divorce). But I really want the PSQ36 so I can roll like Sam Fisher in goddamn Splinter Cell! Hell, I'll even go get an FS2000 and grenade launcher, lose some weight and don a wetsuit!

On a side note, those chicks at those comic book/video game conventions are HOT! Figure you and I got all the shit to go as legit "Call of Duty" characters and pull some trim!

PS, seriously, I'm gonna be out there to visit your ass one day and this will come up.

We can go out to Redstone maybe and I can show you some really cool shit, also spend a day turning you into a true local.

You know where I is, brother! Love to hit-up Redstone!
