I had someone post on my FB feed that "The wall was ineffective because people will just tunnel under it".

LOL! Have IQ's dropped in this country or what? The fact that they are tunneling under the wall kinda proves the wall did have an effect. (Like WTF? Are you serious?)

Why is this (and simple critical thinking) so hard to comprehend by so many?

I couldn't believe someone actually posted this (and someone I consider fairly intelligent), and couldn't see the simple flaw in his very argument.

    SMDH...

so back up a dump truck and fill it with cement......problem solved.

    Cognitive dissonance

The more proof one presents that walls work (because proof is fucking everywhere if one looks) the more they'll double down on why it won't work

The amount of time, money and labor required to dig a tunnel is astronomical and the cartels still haven’t figured out how easy it is to detect them via seismograph. Let them do all that work then be waiting when the gophers pop up. Haven’t they seen Sicario?

They don’t want a real solution. If they did we’d have done it already. Pretty simple really, make a zone, line it with mines, signs and seismic equipment. On the outskirts of that zone dog a trench, fill it with concrete, build the wall on top and about every 5 miles have a tower with sniper towers. Man them. Use drones to help monitor the areas that the wall can’t be built on. And I’m only talking about Manning places where we need it, this isn’t one continuous wall but sections.

Don’t want to do that, the real simple solution is to use propaganda and say you did all that. Use the media to your advantage. Show a wall, a tower with it manned, show signs that say mine field and so on and let the propaganda do the work. Who is going to want to take the chance?

I got all kinds of low cost idea. Again, they don’t really want it fixed. There are all kinds of proven solutions to this.

My personal favorite is when people say a simple, inexpensive 40’ extension ladder would get people over the wall.

Clearly, people who say that have never carried an extension ladder (let alone through the desert), or climbed up on an extension ladder, or given a single thought to how dafuq you’re going to safely get down on the other side once you’re 30’+ in the air.

This. The most “inexpensive” 40’ ladder I found was $430 and also the “lightest” at 85.5 pounds.

How about let's just use the wall itself as the backstop for long range target shooting........With the EXPLICIT notice that ANYTHING moving around or underneath the wall that is not supposed to be there can be pegged as well, no penalties.

Go ahead and dig, climb whatever you want...Just be aware that you are entering the hot zone of a 24/7 rifle range that extends for the whole length of that wall. Let's see how fast the bullshit stops. No booby traps or anything else needed.

Yup, the 32' ladder I used to carry around was a bulky SOB very susceptible to gusts of wind.

I would NOT want to try to scale a vertical wall with one of those fully extended and having to use the top rung as a foothold. That's like 60% chance of dying right there, at least.

Paint a pic of Nancy P on the other side. Face it, no one could cum looking at that. Well, maybe dirty d would. :)

Don't put it past them man,

One of the grimy, perpetually filthy day laborers that always frequents my local mini-mart to splurge on cheap beer has been caught by the store owner yesterday trying to rub one out......using the back of the store's cat. Told me as soon as I walked in today to get some apples. He chased him out of the store by spritzing him with a garden hose and added that if he hadn't caught him in time, the creep would have tried to stick it in the cat's pooper.

Co-worker: "Manny, you work so hard every day. You really need to get some pussy and relax bit."

Manny the laborer: "You're right, I think I will."
