Magpul Bipod

Fuckin-A I'm gonna get one of them. Kasey, we love you and all, but my budget needs some mercy for a little while

Bought time some one builds a Bipod that doesn't cost $300 freakin dollars....

You get what you pay for. Besides, Harris is a little over $100 and has been forever. Not quite sure what your gripe is about.

Looks good, I like the way pan can be locked out.

The only downside, it looks like the mount is a bit tall, hanging down from the forend.

I'll probably buy one but I'm sure the second or third revision will be the one to get.

I'm definitely going to get one. Magpul is slowly taking over the world LOL.

I'm kinda surprised frank didn't get one w hen they sent him the Pro 700, I'm interested to see how it holds up.

Cool, but what does this do (besides look like an Atlas and take Atlas accesories) that a Harris hasn’t done for decades?

Too bad they arent quick detach. I spent almost that much on an adaptor for my harris for that very purpose. One bipod and an adaptor is cheaper then three bipods and I dont have to carry any wrenches to swap it either. The atlas feet compatibility is a nice touch.

Buy the 17S style and add a QD American Defense 17S mount. Adds more money but it's probably the same cost as what you have into your harris w/adapter.

Don't know if I would trust a plastic bipod when its the same price as a Harris.

I think it said aluminum with a polymer skin. I could be wrong.
No your right. It does say alum with plastic overmold. Still a plastic bipod to me. Wonder why they chose non replaceable feet? Cost perhaps?

looks a lot lighter and lower profile than a Harris.

for $100, ide definitely be a buyer assuming it has the same quality as all other magpul products.

I think this looks nothing like an Atlas, weighs less than a Harris and may be stronger and more capable at the same time. Or not. I'm looking forward to finding out, as it seems like a good deal for a lot of good features. Clearly not a copy of any existing design that I'm aware of.

It's going to give Harris some competition in that price range beside cheap Chinese Harris copycat bipods and it's going to put some price pressure on Atlas.

Maybe it will make Oulun Työstökeskus reduce the price on the Mil Sak?

No one is taking away your Harris, they are just giving you another option.

Not saying I don’t like it, I actually think the M-Lock mount looks slick. Might need to watch the video again and compare it against a Harris.

Disclaimer... I’m wanting to buy an Atlas PSR (think thats the one), not a Harris.

Magpul usually makes good stuff, hope it works well for them.

This is great,I hope it is proven to work well and they sell a tonne of them, you can bet the competition will sharpen there prices or build something to equal the price.
Look at all the sub $1000 actions available now!!!

I appreciate the innovation that this company continues to provide with new products. The direct M-Lok mount does look nice. Do we think the profile is going to be similar to an Atlas or bigger? If it’s higher profile I don’t think spending an extra $100 for an Atlas is a bad investment.

My rifle is big enough already.

I have not seen anything yet that shows the legs working independently and locking into positions at different angles/locations?
Nice product, very nice...

just looking at the design of it, it looks like it only opens into one position....although i dont see why the legs wouldnt work independently.

I am glad that Magpul is going to make a what looks like great bipod , i hope it hits hard on manufacturers with 300-500$ bipods that could easily price them for much less and still have a great margin.

Looking at the pivot point, there is a flat at 45° along with 0° and 90°. I don't know enough to say it does or doesn't lock at 45°.

I think there is a good chance that if it doesn't lock at 45° initially, in a revision or two, it probably will.

I see this as a Harris killer, not an Atlas killer. For $100 bucks, you basically get the equivalent of a Harris with a PodLok and a Badger direct M-Lok attachment in a lighter and less expensive package without the pinched fingers. Atlas still has the advantage of multiple position. I'm ordering one as soon as Brownell's makes them available for preorder.

This looks perfect for the AR 308 I’m building. I’ll be keeping an eye on these.

Did not see the arca attachement option in the video. If that option is available...sold.
