For those carrying money clips, what do you have? Pros, cons? If this is not the right spot, please let me know. I know everybody on here has a variety of backgrounds, so someone has to have one or come across one in their travels that they can share. I am looking for something better than a rubber band or paper clip. Thanks in advance.

Carbon fiber from Pirate Carbon Fiber w/ RF blocker. Have had one for approx. 10 years now. Tough and light.

Edit: It looks like Pirate Carbon is no longer in business. Bummer. Many other options out there.

I don't carry cash on me often but I do have a Magpul DAKA Everyday Wallet. It's super minimalist and has a slot in the middle for folded bills. It's tough as nails. I HATE bulk in my pockets. I don't dress tacticool either.

I had a money clip, just a metal clip, for years, and then went back to a wallet. About six months ago I was cleaning our my car and accidently threw my wallet away. After I replaced the important stuff I went with this. Perfect and cheap ($16).

Cheap binder clip appropriately sized for the amount of cash on hand.

I keep my cash and cards/ID separate in case someone decides they need my cash more than I need my life. Toss the clip with the cash and don't need to go through the hassle of canceling cards and getting new ID's.

stopped using everything and started using a "black triangle paper clip" from the office
usual carry:
$3-500 in cash
business credit card
health insurance card
drivers licinse
personal credit card

small cheap, tighter than any real money clip i ever used

tight enough that if you try and pull out a bill you might rip it

Very happy you posted this OP. Had not heard of Trayvax until now, thinking about picking one up. Thanks to you and those that recommended them.

So, the Trayvax 2.0 sells for $30. But if you purchase one now, there is a “Buy Back” program form to fill out on their website. They send you a prepaid postage, you send them ANY old wallet on their dime and they will credit you back $20 to the credit card you used for the purchase. And Just like that, your new Trayvax wallet is now just $10.

I bought the O.D. green.

This, along with a rubber band and your good to go, great front pocket solution.

I use a titanium money clip made by a Danish knife maker, Jesper Voxnaes. Been carrying it for a decade now. Lightweight, and if it gets a little stretched out I just drop it in a vise and tighten it up a bit. Like others in this thread I just carry my DL, a CC and maybe one or two misc. pieces. Wrap whatever cash around it and done.

Really keeps my singles in order. ?

had a few silver ones over the years, just not strong enough. there is only so much spring
had some magnet ones as well, but with the new cool credit cards that are not just made of plastic that ship sailed as well
had one covered in ostrich, credit cards kept shitting the bed...apparently ostrich holds a charge and was scrambling my cards

thats why i went to the papar clip

if i didnt get to the bank and only have a few bills or the wife grabs my credit card (because she lost hers in the house for 10th time this week), almost all of the clips i tried before just wouldnt close tight enough on 2 cards and a 20 dollar bill.

I caught some grief flying out of denver a few years ago. They eventually let me through with it, but they wanted me to throw it away.
And it's assholes like that.... (the TSA dickhead, not you). Thanks for the warning.

So, other that this (one) example, does anyone else have any negatives (in any way) regarding these "Trayvax" style devices?

Office Max Paper Clip. Had it for over 12 years. Think I paid around 10 cents for it in the checkout line.

A friend of mine makes wallets, money clips, and purses out of old boot tops. Had this one for about 5 years.
